"Shooting" Deer at Work! - 08/29/08 12:44 PM
Okay...seriously we are busy around here (sometimes it doesn't look like it!)
But it was one of the more "stressed" out mornings, you know we were all bogged down with paperwork, e-mails, phone calls, problems opportunities and something out of the corner of my eye catches my attention.  Look at what distracted us for about 10 minutes, completely changed my attitude and brought everyone in the office together for a moment!

These "shots" are straight out our back picture window from our office!  It was a glorious "shot".  Not bad for hunting @ work and so called "shooting" deer.

The forbidden fruit? - 08/27/08 09:54 PM
I ran across a quote today that I wanted to share with you.
Why not go out on a limb?  Isn't that where the fruit is?   Frank Scully
Now, I don't know Mr. Scully (guess I should have googled him, now I think I'm breaking some AR rule here) but, I like what he says.  It made me think about the things that we do for our family, children, co-workers and yes, CLIENTS.
How often do you go out on a limb?  Maybe sometimes, here and there or maybe NEVER (yes, I've encountered you out there).
Let's take the … (6 comments)

DO AS I SAY...NOT AS I DO - 08/25/08 08:42 PM
Well, it's back to school time.  You know what that means, lunchboxes, getting up and OUT the door on time AND the dreaded homework!
My boys started a brand new school today in a brand new city.  We moved to New Braunfels, Texas about 3 months ago.
So, let's just say that my little one (well, he's 9yrs old...but still my baby!) didn't get much sleep last night and was VERY nervous when we showed up.  It started in the car as I was driving him.  I asked if he wanted to go in by himself.  The answer was "yes, … (7 comments)

A well deserved day awaits you. - 08/23/08 03:48 PM
In all of my years of selling real estate my biggest challenges weren't:
finding buyer or sellers (well, maybe sometimes)   getting super hard deals to closing in record time (just one more miracle, please)   handling overstressed and emotional people to stick with the facts It seemed to be MY TIME.
For years I ran around with no schedule nor boundaries.
I truly know that some observed me as a red-headed, crazed, focus challenged (it's not easy when you have to show one last house, grocery shop, pick up the kids, get homework done and have dinner at a decent hour) woman trying to be … (4 comments)

My Seller dies while in escrow! - 08/22/08 05:56 PM
It's happened to  me before, but I guess I'm so naive that I never thought that this would happen again.  Like everyone gets one token one and then you have paid your due...not true.  I was just hoping that it would happen AFTER escrow.  I know it's going to happen to all of us at some point in time.  So, maybe I need to get a grip now.
My Seller had two other Realtors try to sell her house before I showed up.  Oh, the stories she told me!  They were unbelievable stories of sloppy work, drunkeness and total disregard for the … (20 comments)

Chicago or Bust! STAR POWER - 08/21/08 01:35 PM
Chicago or Bust!  STAR POWER
Curious if there are any great Agents out there that are going to Howard Brinton's STAR POWER?  It's in Chicago (or close to it) September 25-27th, 2008.  It's a great time to refresh, connect with some AWESOME Agents and prepare yourself to come home and ROCK !!
If you haven't heard anything about it, check it out at www.gostarpower.com  .  This next class is a Leadership University (and they are also having a Buyer's University).  I'm looking forward to meeting Agents from around the US and learning about what new ideas other's are using in … (0 comments)

It's Green in Gruene, Texas - 08/20/08 03:42 PM

My office is in Garden Ridge, Texas (4 miles outside of San Antonio, TX).  I live in New Braunfels (right up the street from SA) and last night I spent a few fun filled hours in Gruene, Texas.
I had evening plans with Brian (my husband) and he was waiting on me (as usual).  I drove home last night from the office in a thunderstorm.  In south Texas rain is a precious commodity (it the kind of stuff we pray for!) the rain was coming down so fast I couldn't see and had to pull over.  I thought that our plans would have … (7 comments)
