We live in a land of plenty, but our lives can be empty and unsatisfied.  We crave beauty, but sometimes we don't know where to look for it.....
Yesterday, I found plentty of beauty, wilderness, solitude and clouds.  I was one of 10 lucky people that got to go on a tour to the Carson Lake Wetlands with Ted Floyd, Editor of Birding magazine and author of several books.
A beautiful spring day with the sights and sounds of the migrating nesting shore birds and the clouds whisped in added to the outdoor display.  Beauty, I know where to find it.

Finally, it looks like Spring is on the way.  Winter has just dragged on and on while teasing us with a sporadic day of sunshine here and there.  Spring will be short because summer is almost here, which means it is time for us to get ready to enjoy some time outdoors with friends and family.

July was still a busy month for the town of Fallon home sales.
 
July had 27 stick-built homes sold, 13 of them were bank-owned.  That is just about 50% of the sales.
Bank-owned:
list price high $239,000  low $52,900  average  $128,084
Sold price high $227,500  low  $50,000  average  $122,832
Average days on market were 96
 
1 short sale listed at $265,000 sold for $260,000
 
13 regular owner sales:
list price high  $290,000  low  $75,000 average  $189,153
sold price high  $279,500  low  $63,500  average  $174,653
Average days on market were 231

The 2nd quarter sales were reported at 146 up 28% from the 1st quarter 2009 and up 74% over the 2nd quarter 2008.
June ended the month with 62 sold transactions as compared to 43 for the month of May – a 42% increase over the previous month and a 158% increase over the same period last year. June 2008 reported sales were 24 the second lowest months of reported sales in 2008.

The month of June had 21 sales, 18 stick built and 3 manufactured homes.
18 stick built homes sold, 10 were bank-owned
List price high  $185,000   low  $14,500   average  $99,390
Sold price high $186,000  low  $12,000 average  $100,750.
Average days on market were 135 days with average of $68 per square foot cost.
1 short sale sold, it was listed for $150,000 and sold for $153,000
7 regular seller sales,
