I just read and commented on a blog post by Broker Bryant on negotiating. He loves to negotiate and so do I and we follow alot of the same procedures. Real Estate for me has always been the thrill of the deal. Don't get me wrong I really love to show houses and will show you anything you want to see, take you to lunch and spend the whole day with you, if you ARE going to buy a house from me. Well, it's official, my license now says Broker. The classes were attended, the tests studied for, the math was mastered and the tests were passed. The Broker designation can now be added to my business cards, along with ABR, ASR, GRI, CRS and ReLo Specialist. I really enjoyed re-visiting the subject material and I really enjoyed the classes, after all, my degree is in education. Whether or not South Carolina becomes an all broker state still remains unknown, at this time. Personally, I would like to see reaching agent status become more difficult. Hopefully, this would weed out a lot of the problems that (12 comments)

Have you ever been to closing and represented the Buyer and realized that the Seller's had not been prepared to attend closing? I was in a closing about ten years ago where the Seller's had no idea they had to bring funds to the table to close their house. Are there still agents out there who are not preparing a Seller's Net Sheet for their Sellers? I taught a class this morning at our Keller Williams office here in Spartanburg, SC on the Seller's Net Sheet. Our agents know how to show their seller's what to expect from the sale of (4 comments)
