Even with all this talk about short sales and foreclosures seemingly everywhere you turn, there are many consumers that are uncertain about what is short sale is.  
Short sale: When a lender agrees to accept the proceeds of the sale of a property when the loan amount is more than the property is worth.

Here are the statistics for the Condo Market in Mount Kisco and Area 2 (northeastern Westchester - basically from Chappaqua up to the border of Putnam County, west to Yorktown - although a small part of Yorktown is considered Area 2 and east to the border of CT)  Communities include Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Bedford Corners, Armonk, South Salem, Cross River, Goldens Bridge, Waccabuc, Katonah, North Salem, Croton Falls, Purdys, Vista, Millwood, Pound Ridge, Somers.
These stats include condos of all sizes and types - from studio apartments to townhouses and senior housing.

Not surprisingly, most of the time when I mention that I am a real estate broker, I am asked the BIG question - So, how is business these days?  What's happening in the real estate market?  
Well - lots is happening!   Not withstanding the news we get online, on TV, on the radio - people are still downsizing, moving up (great market to do it in!), having babies, getting married, buying vacation homes.
