The art of great communication in business is a necessity. Without it, it can be terribly difficult in understanding the wants and the needs of our clients. But, what if the parties to the conversation are on different wavelengths? How about these two little guys? They've developed a language to communicate perfectly with each other. And, they understand completely what the other is saying.

When looking for a house to purchase, buyers like to know dates. Insurance companies also like to know dates. They like to know how old the roof is, how old the A/C is. Has the electric and plumbing been updated? When? How old are the appliances?
Time flies and sometimes these dates slip away from sellers.
In selling a house it's important to gather those important documents to pass along to a buyer, should they or their insurance company ask for them. If those items have recently been updated or replaced those are items that … (6 comments)

First Day of Spring Break in Brevard County - 03/28/11 12:33 PM
Today is the first day the students in Brevard County are off school for Spring Break.
It's been raining since the middle of the night, with a lot of thunder and lightning.
We are hearing that there's a 50% chance of rain through Thursday. Hopefully, they're wrong.
Here in our area the kids love to spend their time at the beaches during Spring Break.
We certainly need the rain, as our rainfall levels are below normal at this time of year.
So, I guess these kids will have to shift gears and find something to do indoors.

The other night while Uncle Charley was still in town visiting, we decided to head out for a bite to eat. The first place that came to mind was Charlie & Jake's (I know different spelling than Uncle Charley - what can I say, he's always been a little bit different). On Saturday, March 26, from 10:00 AM to 3 PM Viera Hospital will hold it's grand opening to showcase it's new state of the art facility.
Viera Hospital, a Health First facility, will be Brevard County's smallest hospital with 5 floors and 100 patient beds. There is room for expansion on the 5th floor, allowing for 42 additional beds in the future.

We headed to the beach yesterday afternoon. It was such a pretty day. So many were enjoying the nice weather we've been having. And, Uncle Charley was in town so we wanted to share some special time with him. The water seemed clearer and more blue than it has in quite some time. The waves were breaking close to the shore and it was high tide. It was a great day for the beach, as the water temperature wasn't too bad.

This morning I was searching through the MLS, Multiple Listing Service for properties for sale. I was looking for specific types of houses for a buyer I am currently working with. And, I noticed a property that has been on the market for over 2000 days. I had to stop and take a look at it. Then, for a moment I had to think about how many years 2000 days really was. That's over 5 years! Wow! A property that has been listed for sale for over five years.

A friend and I headed out the other night to grab some dinner. We decided to head up to Historic Cocoa Village, located near Taylor Park, beside the Indian River Lagoon. We felt like Thai food, so we thought that Thai Thai Village Sushi Bar would be a great choice.
The place was full. The wait was a short 15 minutes, so we strolled across the street to the art gallery and admired the paintings of 5 different artists.

I love Springtime, when Daylight Savings Time begins. This weekend we set our clocks ahead one hour. It will stay lighter in the evenings. To me, it feels like the days are much longer.
Now we have the opportunity to be home before dark. We can spend more time enjoying the evenings and the gorgeous weather, with a light breeze and no humidity.

The 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival was held this weekend in Melbourne Florida. It featured a pancake breakfast, a 5K run, a car and bike show, games, rides, pony rides, arts and crafts, face painting, a music festival, ice cream, strawberry shortcake and karaoke.
It was sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc. welcomes volunteers from throughout the community. They build houses for low income families. Several of us headed out for some fun on Friday night. Our first stop was at Chili's for dinner. The food was delicious. The balloon guy was happy to make us any kind of balloon we asked for. I have to say, these were the most detailed balloon animals I've ever seen. The monkey was my favorite.

Melbourne FL Home Buying Over the past couple of months, I have been spending quite a bit of time with buyers. We have buyers picking first homes, vacation homes and just plain looking for a good deal.
I always tell buyers to let me know what they like or don't like about a property. At first, some buyers can be reluctant to say what they don't like. This picture was taken at Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral, FL. The cruise ships come in to dock here. The Port is home to the Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines.

A couple of days ago, I went out to meet with sellers about professionally marketing their home for sale. I arrived at an attractive home, situated in a well appointed, upscale neighborhood.
