sandy shores melbourne fl broker associate: It's Time to Review that Insurance Policy
- 06/06/13 10:48 AM
It’s that time of year, hurricane season, time to pull out the insurance policy and review your coverage. Are you with a financially strong company, a company that can pay a claim in case of a disaster? Although, insurance companies allow changes, some, such a change in deductibles can be done only at renewal time.
The Florida insurance industry changed considerably after the hurricanes of 2004-2005. Many large companies were replaced by smaller ones. But, are these companies financially strong? How quickly will they pay after a claim is filed? Can they pay at all? Today, an insurance company's

Times are tough, and today you don't hear people complaining that they have too much money left after they've paid all of their other bills. Sadly, many fall short each month of covering their monthly bills.
It's so important to watch those pennies.
The other day I headed to the store to pick up the items on my shopping list. My bill came to $35.56. I gave the cashier $35.60 and waited. He laughed as she was handing me my change, almost as if she were uncomfortable handing me a bunch of pennies. "Sorry." "That's fine, I like getting my change

sandy shores melbourne fl broker associate: Take A Second Look Before Making An Offer on a House
- 02/21/13 07:30 AM
Recently, I was out showing houses to local buyers. We looked at a number of houses. The buyers narrowed the selection down to the two that were there favorites. Lucky, because today buyers can't always find two. They were weighing their options and looking at the pros and cons of which house they wanted to buy. I recommended we go back and look at them a second time.
It's good for a buyer to look at houses a second time, on a different day, at a different time of day (if possible, in our market of multiple offers).
A house can look different the

sandy shores melbourne fl broker associate: Rising Prices & Dwindling Inventory, Again
- 02/08/13 02:39 PM
I recently read an article asking if house prices are, again, rising too quickly. The CNBC article indicated that inventories of homes for sale are down. Thus, causing an increase in property prices. Prices in some areas increased by 8% from December 2011 to December 2012.
For those in our area, buyers have to move quickly on a house when they see one they want to buy.
The scope of the market is continually changing. We are seeing multiple offers on houses under $125,000. The "good ones" are going first and quickly. That may be the most important information we are trying to get out

- 03/07/12 04:07 PM
Last week I was out showing houses to out of town buyers. We looked at houses for three days, and I'm pretty sure we saw about 25 properties by the time the last day rolled around. The buyers had narrowed the selection down to their final three. They were trying to make a decision on which house they wanted to buy: the house that suited their wants and their needs. I recommended we go back and look at all three of them again.
It's good for a buyer to look at houses a second time, on a different day, at
