It has been an absolute pleasure working with Spencer over the last few years, which is why I am so excited for him, and for Zillow, on his new promotion to CEO.
There are a lot of things that make Spencer unique and qualified to run a company, most are outlined in the formal press release below. but the thing that resonates most for me is his involvement with the people that make up the real estate community.

This question came in from Karen Alterson a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Surf in Rockville Centre, NY. As it is a pretty common question, I thought I'd answer it on my blog, so multiple people can benefit from the answer.

How do I get my name on the list of Realtors? And how do you get to the top???

I am so excited to announce that today the Video Training Centerlaunched on Zillow! There are a core group of questions we frequently get, and now we have a resource that answers them in the form of short videos.
Along with FAQs, there are videos that walk through some of the most used marketing tools and resources on the site.

On Zillow we bring attention to those who contribute the most by awarding Zillow All-Star and Zillow Local Expert badges.
These badges appear on profile pages and can also be posted on your other marketing efforts (such as on your Active Rain blog). People with these badges are also given better placement in the Professional Directory, with the idea that those that are the most helpful should get the best exposure on the site.
