charlotte: Road Conditions and Closings in and around Charlotte, NC - 02/01/10 02:19 PM
Well, I don't know about you, but I have been enjoying being "snowed in!" I didn't leave the house all weekend and my showings are all bumped until next weekend. The Charlotte area basically shuts down when we get snow, and it always makes me feel like a little kid when school is cancelled, even though I'm no longer a student or teacher and I have no children in school. It just adds to the excitement!! I was a little bummed that my massage was cancelled on Saturday, due to inclement weather. The online version of the Charlotte Observer is where

charlotte: Charlotte's Housing Market - 02/09/09 01:18 PM
As a Charlotte area Realtor, I appreciated the article that I read on Charlotte.com by Stella M. Hopkins and Ted Mellnik. It pointed out that while home prices in the Charlotte area did fall last year, things are not as bad as some make them out to be. It also explains why we're not feeling the pain in Charlotte as much as they are in other areas of the country. Everyone talks about bubbles bursting and it clearly points out in this article that Charlotte's housing market did not behave in this way, and for this reason does not have as

I came across an article that allowed me to better understand our current market and how economists expect Charlotte to recover from the current recession. charlotte: Why Use A Real Estate Agent Anyway?? - 01/09/08 04:46 PM
I believe that often people aren't aware of everything that is involved in completing a real estate transaction successfully. Many consumers have no idea what it takes to get from start to finish in a real estate transaction. Whose fault is it that people are unaware/uneducated in this particular area?? In my opinion, real estate agents are the ones to blame. As a Broker/Realtor, I believe that it is my job to educate people as to exactly what I do throughout a transaction, and why it is imperative that a trained professional be hired to complete these duties. A real estate transaction deals with

charlotte: Fun ways to get involved in the community!!! - 12/17/07 09:08 PM
Hello, As we all know, a big part of being successful in this business comes from being actively involved in the community. I hear a lot of agents talking about how they want to be involved, but they just don't know how or what to do. I thought I would share some of the ways that I stay active in my neighborhood as well as the community as a whole. This past year, I sponsored three major events. All of these events generated a lot of buzz. Two of them actually made the local papers. The first event that I did was

charlotte: PUPPIES AND DOGS IN THE CHARLOTTE AREA THAT NEED HOMES FAST! - 12/07/07 02:48 PM
I received these pictures and stories from a friend that works for a local organization that helps place animals in homes. All of these animals need homes. They are located in and around the Charlotte area. They are from different shelters and organizations and some are privately owned. Their stories are very sad I will warn you, but I chose to include them because they are true! If you know anyone that is planning on getting a dog, possibly for Christmas, please consider these animals! I did not include any of the contact information because some of the e-mails and phone numbers were private. If

charlotte: The Current Market of Vermillion in Huntersville - 12/06/07 07:38 PM
If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Vermillion yet, you are missing out! Personally, it is my favorite neighborhood in Huntersville because it has that small town feel within the subdivision itself. Of course, Vermillion is part of the greater town of Huntersville, but by having its own village center, which includes Harveys Bar and Grill, it really feels like it's own charming little town. Not to mention the fact that people of many different price ranges can call Vermillion home. Of the 10 homes that are currently on the market, they range in price between $225,000 and $569,000, with
