If you've recently sold your home and enlisted the help of a Realtor, what may I ask did you find to be the perks of their marketing plan?  What did they have to offer that made your house shine far above the rest?  What brought the buyers?  What do you contribute the sale of your home to, other than luck?  Were there any specific strategies that your Realtor used other than ensuring that your house was on the market at the right price and that it was staged phenomenally?

Hello,
 I came across this great website and just had to share it. I don't know about you, but I have much better things to do than sit on a phone and push buttons and try to get a computer to understand what I am saying. To help bypass this problem, check out the following site: www.GetHuman.com  It gives special instruction on how to bypass the computers and get a person on the phone for over 400 companies!!! For example, to get someone on the phone at NetZero simply press #### at each prompt, ignoring any messages.

 Here is a link to a very interesting article about the redevelopment of one of Charlotte's most desirable neighborhoods, Dilworth. The article discusses how a lot of the original houses are being demolished to make way for new, super sized homes. For those of you not familiar with Dilworth, this area has seen tremendous appreciation in property values in recent history.  Here is a link to an interesting article from the Washington Post. The article describes research that contends that people will pay more for a house if the price does not end in a bunch of zeros!
Here is an excerpt from the article:
"The study concluded that because people are used to precise numbers for items that don't cost much and to round numbers for large amounts, consumers generally and home buyers specifically tend to perceive that a price is smaller if there are digits at the end instead of zeros."
 Be sure to read the entire article, it is quite interesting.

"Nationally, home sales dipped almost 13 percent last year, compared with 2006, and the median price fell 1.4 percent."

I think that it is a great system, but didn't feel that I was using it enough to justify the monthly subscription. After getting some feedback and some great info from a seminar that I attended, I decided to switch to Outlook. Since my husband is in graduate school, we were able to the the 2007 Office Ultimate Edition for just $59!  A while back I posted a blog about using Godaddy.com to build my real estate website. After using it for a couple of months, I just wanted to give everyone an update. Thus far, I have been very pleased with Godaddy.com and their Website Tonight programs. It is pretty user friendly, created professional looking sites, and I have seen an increase in my Google ranking. This definitely seems like a low cost alternative to having someone design a custom site for you.
