A Pet Peeve Of Mine - 01/31/11 11:41 AM
I have a peeve. I hate this phrase. "Google is your friend." Yes, I know that Google is wonderful, and I use it a lot. But sometimes it takes a long time on Google to find the information you need. You have to wade through all the commercial sites which are at the top of the list. If I ask a question to a group of email friends or on a blog, I HATE for some one to come back with "Google is your friend." Governor Bill Haslam was inaugurated governor of our state this past Saturday. Our son, Aaron Rummage, attended and took this photo of the state capital right before the festivities started.

Our team had a listing a few months ago in the Greeen Hills/Lipscomb University area of Nashville TN which, unfortunately, went into foreclosure and now is bank owned. This house is across the street from the Lipscomb University campus and would make great student housing! In fact, it was previously rented to students, and the decor reflects that. :) If you have a student, consider investing in a property rather than paying dorm rent. As we know, staging, or organizing a home's furnishings to show off its best features, can take ordinary and ugly spaces and turn them into beautiful and appealing places. Savvy sellers know that in this market, they MUST get their home show ready to sell. By watching shows like HGTV, they have been educated on the need for it. They may call in a professional for consultation, but many times they have good ideas of their own.
