Steven – What is really going on in the Boise Market? One person I talk to says “it’s good” and the next one I talk to says “it’s horrible”. What do you see as reality? Don K. Eagle
Don, I see a busy market. The number of homes on the market in the Treasure Valley has dropped considerable. We are down over 30% in Ada County in the last 12 months and in Canyon County the inventory is down 43%. The Idaho Statesman recently reported Ada County has seen its first “year-over-year increase” in almost five years.We haven't seen home prices … (1 comments)

Boise and the surrounding communities are taking advantage of the economy and expanding businesses throughout the valley.  Mom & Pop stores are still popping up and national retailers are expanding locations.
Below are just a few businesses either coming to the Boise market or expanding their presence.

Whole Foods: Can Boise handle the new natural food store? - 11/01/11 04:30 PM

For years (since 2006 to be exact), there has been a whirlwind of rumors that Whole Foods will be coming to Boise.  Finally, it's coming to fruition.  Any day now, Whole Foods will break ground for a 35,000 sqft building on the corner of Myrtle and Front Street near downtown Boise.  A 15,000 sqft Walgreens Pharmacy will neighbor the natural food store.
But not so fast!  If all goes as planned, construction on the 6 acre site should be completed within a year.  Approximately 175, full-time and part-time, employees will soon be helping new customers in the downtown venue.
