We have clients that found a home they love. The only problem is they have to sell their home in order to purchase the new home. After explaining that most likely the sellers of the new home aren't going to be interested in a contingency offer, but that it would definitely help if their current home was listed and listed at a good price. When they were talking about what to offer for the new home, they decided on a low ball offer, because there had been a couple of foreclosures sold in the community. September show increase for the fourth consective month of increases in at least one segment of the market. We went to a restaurant yesterday that offered a buffet. For the life of me I can't figure out the mentality that causes us to think we have to eat a huge amount of food to "get our money's worth". Yet we will go to another restaurant, pay more money and not be upset about the amount of food on our plate. It just doesn't make sense, yet I find myself rationalizing each time I am faced with the situation. I guess in order to stick to my diet, I will just have to avoid buffets. www.scbeachteam.com

Century 21 of the Carolinas just held a two day event at the beautiful Marina Inn in Myrtle Beach, SC. This Inn overlooks the Intercoastal Waterway and Marina. And is just a short distance from the beach. The event was called the "Big Kahuna" with a surfing theme, of course. Wednesday afternoon keynote speaker was Verl Workman. He did a dynamic job speaking on Building Relationships with Technology. Thursday, there were breakout sessions with most of these also dealing with technology and social media for real estate. Thursday afternoon, there was a continuing education class on insurance, taught by Payton Warren, (0 comments)

It's Saturday! Once upon a time before I became a Realtor, Saturday was a day off, a day to spend on the golf course or the beach. Rarely did I have to go to the office. Sometimes, I just hung around the house, enjoying the peace and quiet.But all this was my life before real estate. Now, Saturday and Sunday'sare two of the busiest days of the week. So, here I sit at my computer on Saturday morning thinking how nice it would have been to sleep an extra hour and have a leisurely cup of coffee rather than jumping in the (2 comments)
