Why Should The Buyer Sign A Buyer Broker Agreement? - 09/21/12 03:10 AM
Broker Bryant always has such great insight. I really like the idea of a retainer. In Virginia, getting a BBA or a letter ofnon representation is required. But if I dont represent you, then why would I show you property. Via Bryant Tutas-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc:
Because it's to THEIR advantage to do so! We need to be able to explain this to them.Hopefully this will help.
I received this email from a potential buyer:
You are right Bryant, I should not work with 2 Realtors at the same time and got a bit excited after reading your blog. It (0 comments)

How I got into real estate - 09/12/12 02:22 AM
How I got into Real Estate I may have told this story before here on Active Rain but I couldn't find it so here it is....
I would love to say it was a plan, that I grew up wanting to be an agents (ok in High School at one point I thought it would be cool)but that is not my story. Before Real Estate I was lost, I was stuck in doing something I hated and had no idea what I wanted to do. I made just enough money to where it was hard to leave but also hard (15 comments)

Excuse me, your political signs are blocking your for sale sign
I enjoy the political process and support people placing political signs saying whom they support. I enjoy educated political discussion with friends.
Yesterday while driving I noticed a listing with several political signs in the yard. This person really wanted to show their support and had many political signs in their yard it was hard to tell if house was still for sale.
I stay away from politics and religion in business. And I recommend this for the houses we have listed. (3 comments)
On Labor Day: Is Real Estate a Job or a Career? - 09/03/12 10:40 AM
This is such a great post, I had to reblog it. A few years ago I was lost in my life and career. I hated what I did,but had no idea what I wanted to do. i have to give a large part of my success to my wife and business partner. I started off helping her in Real Estate, one day she said get your license so you can show property too. If it wasn't her her not only would I probably never tried Real Estate, but I doubt I could have lasted for 6 months financially. Via Mary Hutchison, SRES, (1 comments)
