Green Slime Creek, San Francisco, CA
It looks like a tranquil picture, doesn't it?
The steps on the left lead up to the mid-level, and then steps located roughly up behind the left green chair lead up to the top level. You can see my rear neighbor's deck on the left up above. I know it's slightly overgrown, life happens. In this case shit happens..... I'm standing in my back door taking the photo.
What you can't see is the problem. The previous owners of the house above located at 15 Dorchester Way built that deck past their property … (6 comments)

The Bodyguard - The Story of Love and a Realtor's Passion - 04/22/12 05:31 PM
The Bodyguard - The Story of Love and a Realtor's Passion
A while ago I was browsing through movies on Netflix. I added 'The Bodyguard' to my list. That was before Whitney Houston's death.  Today the DVD showed up in the mail.  And all the memories ensued. This isn't a happy story, but it's all about the memories we have, and they make us what we are today. Passion and Memories.
 It was 1993...
....and I was living life in the fast lane. My partner and love of my life took me to all the parties, celebrations and gatherings that … (8 comments)

Ocean Beach - San Francisco - 04/21/12 04:29 PM
Ocean Beach - San Francisco
It's a beautiful warm spring day in San Francisco. I visited my clients and friends at my latest listing in San Francisco: 2186 43rd Ave. today. They're a wonderful couple in their early 80s, and are selling their home of almost 50 years to move to Atria, an assisted living facility in Burlingame. I sincerely hope they'll be happy there - there's a whole back story to this, maybe I'll tell in a future blog series. I sure hope this all has a happy ending since it is so important to them.
We sat and chatted … (5 comments)

A Beautiful Day in Outer Parkside - 04/14/12 03:35 PM
A Beautiful Day in Outer Parkside
Today was a good day to visit my new listing in Outer Parkside and put up a For Sale sign. Usually we have a company plant a post but in this case it is easier just to mount it on the front gate. I was halfway there and realized I didn't bring my camera.
But wait, I have my iPhone! I already have pictures, but today is a sunny day and the sun is in the right place for a better picture. The iPhone takes great quality photos at 3264 x 2448 pixels. And … (25 comments)

Thunder and Lightning, Oh My! - 04/12/12 09:45 PM
Thunder and Lightning, Oh My!
We're having thunderstorms in San Francisco tonight. It's the kind where you see the lightning, and then wait to hear the thunder rumble through the area. Reminds me of the movie Poltergeist where they were counting the seconds between the thunder and the light. This just doesn't happen that often here. Even the Chows are nervous. Hopefully the electricity stays on. Those transformers up on the poles can be pretty prone to getting hit sometimes.
It rained pretty hard last night too. This morning while walking the Chows up Ulloa Street, I could see debris … (10 comments)

Old Fashioned Marketing - The Newsletter. - 04/05/12 07:13 PM
Old Fashioned Marketing - The Newsletter.
An elderly couple walked in to my office this afternoon. They looked familiar. One of my other agents asked them if he could help them - they asked for Mr. Scott.
They asked me if I remembered them, and I remembered they lived next to a listing I had out in the Avenues near the ocean. I sold it first in 2005 for a family and then again as a short sale in 2008. I got to know them fairly well during those times. They're a German couple on a block that is rapidly becoming … (10 comments)

April in San Francisco - 04/01/12 01:59 PM
April in San Francisco
I toured 4 homes with clients yesterday. Waiting to hear back on 3 offers made with other clients. The market is really tight around the Bay Area. Signed up for a month session with REO RockStars which starts tomorrow. And my partner bought a new iPad, so that means I got the old iPad 2. Lots to do.
But Sunday afternoon, April 1, is a time for relaxing around the house with the 3 Chows.
The Geranium Maderense  is blooming. Learn more about it in a previous post HERE. The Magnolia tree is in full … (4 comments)
