Happy Halloween Spookane! - 10/29/10 03:12 PM
Wednesday Afternoon I spent driving all over Spokane's South Hill and Perry District neighborhoods in search of some great Halloween yard displays and trick or treat decorated homes.  With the home owner's permission of course, I have selected a few of the best for the blog:

Drive carefully and look out for all the little ghosts and goblins.  There's lots of fun stuff going on around town.  Parents can take kids trick or treating in the neighborhoods or at area shopping malls.  Lots of … (0 comments)

Lost and Found, Spokane South Hill Area - 10/27/10 06:00 PM

She's been missing for some time now, and I spoke with the Cat's parent's and they said still no sign of the missing Cat.  If you know something or have seen her, the numbers are right there on the sign.

This one is different from the other, and I spotted this sign on 10/27/10 in the Cliff Park area.

Spokane's North South Freeway - Believe it! - 10/15/10 02:06 PM
It's taking shape and work is being done this morning on the South Bound Lanes...

For those who have lived in the Spokane area for decades the idea is finally becoming a reality!

Right now, however, only about a 3 1/2 mile stretch is completed, and only the Northbound lanes which currently are being shared by vehicles traveling both directions.  Speed limit is 60 mph. so even this small stretch is useful for those wishing to shave some time off of the trip from one side of town to the other...

Travel time between Wandermere and I-90 will … (0 comments)

One of the things I've always wanted to do is see the sunrise at Mount Spokane so this morning I left the house around 5:30 and headed up the mountain.  Gradually the sky got brighter and brighter...I stress "gradually" because the wind was blowing and at 37 degrees F. it was a little chilly standing outside waiting for the sun to peak out above the distant clouds, but it did finally and here's the picture I snapped:

Still a ways away from opening up for the ski season, but it won't be long.  This is the shot of the … (0 comments)
