Condo Remodelling Project in Progress - 01/26/11 04:41 PM
What an event.  I started out by purchasing a little two bedroom condo here in the Spokane area that I felt was a tremendously good price, and decided to fix it up a little bit and rent it for a few years and then sell it after a remodel later.  I called a friend of mine who does handy man work and had him come over to paint.  I wish I had the pictures from the moment you walk in to how it looks now, but it looks so good, what was just a cosmetic touch up has turned into a bigger … (0 comments)

Water Covers the Centenial Trail in January! - 01/21/11 05:01 PM
A few weeks ago the Inland Northwest was hit with several days of snows followed by an unseasonably warm period that brought below freezing day time temperatures to around 50 degrees F.  This lead to a faster than usual melt off and even some flooding higher up stream in Idaho. Just as the saying "what goes up must come down" so it is with water always flows downhill.  The dams are letting extra water out now to accommodate incoming flow higher up...

Earlier in the Week the water level began it's rise...

Then by Thursday...and this is January!!!  Usually you don't … (0 comments)

History of Northwest Ski Sports: The Ski Museum of Spokane - 01/14/11 06:05 PM

Even today, and almost a decade after Lou Lou's famous ski shop closed, you can't go to an area ski resort, and bring up his name to someone in the resort shop who doesn't know Lou Lou Kneubuhyler.  An Icon like Lou Lou is synonymous with the word"ski" in the Inland Northwest.

Still energetic and youthful, this retired Frenchmen is eager to share his stories and knowledge with anyone who will listen.  He has so much to share in fact, that he has opened up The Ski Museum of Spokane.  When you first enter there's a row of skis … (0 comments)

MLK Day 2011 Spokane Celebration - 01/12/11 07:56 PM

I plan to march again this year.  Last year the march started a little after 11am I think and Mayor Verner gave a speech as well.  Nice to see so many people turn out for a show of support in the cause for freedom and diversity.

Senator Patty Murray Visits My Lunch Meeting Today! - 01/12/11 05:18 PM
What a huge surprise today!  I attended a business luncheon at Europa in Downtown Spokane today when Senator Patty Murray, who's already in town dropped by to inform all of us about the new congress, her accomplishments, and plans for the future...Here's the picture from where I sat.

I was parked this afternoon side street right in front of Europa, so when I found she was going to be there, I hurried out front to offer to move my vehicle, but it wasn't in the way.  I saw that secret service (or police?  I'm not sure) were shoveling the sidewalk … (1 comments)

Eastern Washington University Football Champions! - 01/08/11 04:33 PM
All day long today everybody I've talked with in spokane, the first topic of discussion has been last nights game and stunning comeback by the Eastern Washington University football team and league championship win against Delaware.  Everyone has a story to tell and for me I was working out at the gym watching the game on the screen and noticed that by half time we were behind 12-0.  Well I am a Chief's Hockey fan, and not as big into football, so I thought "...and they were doing so good"...so by the end of the fourth quarter, I was at the arena with … (0 comments)
