spokane entertainment: Movie currently being filmed in Spokane - 11/12/10 09:29 AM

Some of you may have noticed the movie production vehicles at Manito Park this morning on spokane's South Hill.  A movie is being filmed here and it's called Camilla Dickenson.
The film, set in 1948 in New York, is produced by larry Estes and directed by Cornelia Puryee.  The film, Estes' first in Spokane is based on the novel Camilla, and is a dram about first love and finding it.

It's exciting to see so many movies being filmed here in the Spokane.  It's even more encouraging to see so many great Independent films made in the region as well as those by major movie companies.

spokane entertainment: Sludge Fest at Wadells on Spokane's South Hill - 05/28/10 02:15 PM

One of the major hubs for social activity and good times on the Spokane South Hill for both the young and the young at heart without a doubt is Waddell's off South Regal across from Shopko and next to Twiggs.  This afternoon I went in for a draft, a really tasty Waddell burger and to read the Wall Street Journal and maybe catch a few fun plays on one of the many flat screens.  Anyway I got to talking to the bartender about what he would like to read about in a blog.
