MOMS Club® of Tega Cay Basket Raffle 2008 - 05/29/08 05:36 AM
In addition to our other ways to raise money for the Children’s Attention Home, the MOMS Club® of Tega Cay will also be raffling off baskets filled with wonderful prizes at the dinner following the golf tournament Saturday May 31st.
Raffle tickets may be purchased by anyone even if you don’t attend the dinner. Raffle tickets are $1/ticket and may be purchased by phoning Dianna at 803-627-3934 or emailing tcmomsclubgolfclassic@gmail.com.

Fort Mill Home Values Still Strong - 05/28/08 08:46 PM
There is good news mixed with bad. The 12 month through March 2008 S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index report released yesterday showed national home values are still in a decline. The national average decline is 14%.
The good news is Charlotte is one of the 20 urban metro market areas showing increases. The Charlotte metro market includes Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Lake Wylie and other outline areas or suburbs.
Our home values in the area have shown modest growth in the last few years which maybe the reason for positive home value growth instead of decreases in todays economy. Charlotte area … (1 comments)

What features help sell your home faster? What features are more desirable to a buyer and bring you more bang for the buck?
The National Association of Realtors® gathered information from over 2500 home buyers nationally that purchased a home in 2007. Repeat buyers placed more importance than first-time buyers on almost all home features.
Here are some of the highlights of the survey:

For a second year in a row Charlotte North Carolina has been voted the number one place to live by RelocateAmerica.com.

Fort Mill School District Superintendent Keith Callicut wrote an update recently in the Fort Mill Times. Here is a summary of his school growth update.
Besides the two new Fort Mill School District elementary schools planned to open in the fall of 2009, the district is busy working on a plan to spend the money raised by the March 4th bond referendum that was passed. The Fort Mill School District is looking at the following areas for 3 new schools (2 elementary, 1 middle);

Fort Mill Real Estate-Mortgage Market Update May 9 2008 - 05/11/08 08:04 AM
Rates improved a little this week. I am still concerned about inflation and many analysts think that oil prices might reach $200. Let’s hope not. The continued rise of the oil prices will negatively effect mortgage bonds. Current 30 Year Fixed rates are hovering around 5.75% but can easily range between 5.625% and 6.25% depending on credit score and loan program. ARM pricing is still weak but has improved. Fort Mill Schools District Name 2 New Elementary Schools - 05/10/08 06:11 AM
I wrote a post recently about a rumor all Fort Mill Schools are in an enrollment freeze. Here is a link to the posts Fort Mill Schools Freeze Enrollment?
As I stated that was simply not true. In the post I mentioned therewill be 2 new elementray schools. Well the Fort Mill School District Board has approved names for the district’s newest elementary schools. The elementary located adjacent to Nation Ford High will be known as Sugar Creek Elementary.

TEGA CAY REAL ESTATE MARKET ANALYSIS JAN-APR 2008 - 05/08/08 04:24 PM
I have had many request to see the change in home sales data for Tega Cay from this year to last. So here is the latest info.
Single Family homes had a 37.5 % drop in the number of home sold to last year. It is now taking on the average 153 days to sell a home which is approximately a 34% increase in days. The good news is the selling price to listing price ratio only changed 4% and is still in the 90's.
