Happy, happy, happy!  With everything going on around us, natural disaster, economical woes, and everyday worries, I'm very thankful today for a happy day!
It started out with a pleasant breakfast meeting with my Rotary Club of Spring Hill.  Then later this afternoon, one of my listings was scheduled to close.  It turned into one of the best closings that I can remember ever attending on either buyer's or seller's side.
I'm sure everyone just loves property closings that go as planned.  Well, the one today exceeded all expectations!

Yesterday evening just as the sun was beginning to set, we took a walk through the neighborhood.  Walking by one house in our street, I noticed that the air was heavy with a sweet fragrance.  I looked around and spotted a whole row of Easter Lilies in full bloom alongside the house. 
If you bought an Easter Lily this year, try planting it outside.  Not only do they look beautiful, they fill the air with a sweet smell that only nature can produce.

Different Flyers for Different Purposes
The use of flyers as part of real estate marketing can come in a variety of forms and can serve different purposes.
There are the hard copy flyers that can range from basic information to mini brochures and then there are the electronic flyers.
Depending on the property, I like to use outside flyers and inside flyers - each different.

What makes a good sign?  Well, it should be seen so visibility is one key to a good sign.
My Tropic Shores Realty sign stands out from many other real estate signs because of its bright yellow color as well as its larger size.  These yellow signs scream "Attention" and can't be missed!  I currently have one listing in particular, where the sign can be seen from both directions and from a long distance away shining bright and yellow, preparing the driver some time in advance to take a look at the sign.

Today, I was driving through the Timber Pines 55+ Golf Course community in Spring Hill.  As always, the Timber Pines community presents itself well maintained with clean sidewalks, beautiful golf courses, and beautiful gardens taken care of residents with price of ownership!
It's Easter Bunny galore!  Something else they do in the Timber Pines community is to get into the spirit of any holiday and decorate village entry areas accordingly.  This time of year, of course, it's Easter decorations, take a look and enjoy!

Yesterday, I traveled as part of the delegation of the Hernando County Association of REALTORS to Florida's capitol Tallahassee for the Great American Realtor Days.

Tallahassee brought out the red carpet for Realtors coming from all over the state to attend meetings with their legislators and to share their concerns about issues that affect the Florida housing market and our communities.

This weekend, the Hernando County Fair and Youth Livestock Exhibit began.  It's an old fashioned country fair with animals, rides, food, music, entertainment, 4-H exhibits, and of course, rides!

This April evening was no exception, the parking lot at Bayport Park filled up quickly and people were mulling around in anticipation of seeing the sun dip into the ocean. 

The new boardwalk at Bayport is one of the most popular spots to watch the sun set in Hernando County.

Median and average sales prices stayed below the $100,000 mark. Florida waterfront living sometimes has its challenges and also its rewards.  We have a pedal boat that had filled up with water during this week's drenching rains in Hernando Beach, Florida.  Its bow was tipping into the water taking on some saltwater. 
While dipping out the water today, my husband made a surprising discovery.  Florida nature does not wait to take over a new habitat!  Here is what had already made the boat its new home!
