Hernando Beach residents celebrated the completion of the Hernando Beach channel dredge today with a ribbon cutting at the local public boat ramp. With the Tarpon Canal as the backdrop, Hernando Beach Coast Guard Auxiliary, Hernando County Port Authority, County Commissioners, and County employees involved with the project joined into the festivities. Many Hernando Beach businesses participated in the celebration and Hernando Beach restaurants provided the food for the crowd that gathered after the ribbon cutting for a neighborly get-together. Restaurants that participated were R-Beach, Leslie's Bistro, and Swanies Restaurant. The Hernando Beach Property Association provided drinks, hot dogs, and cake.
