archon: Las Vegas Real Estate Investment - Las Vegas Strip Land Price Up? - $22.88 Million an Acre Sales Option Agreement - 12/29/08 04:19 AM

In mid 2006, Archon corporation announced it had an option sales agreement for it's approximately 27 acres of land on the Las Vegas Strip. The property, that had once been the location of Wet 'n Wild Water Park, sits between the Sahara Casino to the north, and Turnberry Towers and the under construction Fontainebleau Resort to the south.

The original option purchase price for the land was $450 million, or about $16.66 million an acre. The purchaser was Austin, TX developer Christopher Milam. He proposed building one of the world's tallest buildings on the site. Las Vegas Tower was to … (6 comments)
