<I'll admit it, I'm Guilty! When I used to be a visitor to Las Vegas, I got off the plane at McCarran, jumped in a cab or limo and headed off to my hotel. I never imagined life beyond the Strip. Until.... the wise guy...I mean wise man sharing my office started showing me around. I was amazed, but one thing really hooked me, and that was seeing Lake Mead, from those Dam Neighbors in Boulder City. Heading south on 93/95 from Las Vegas you go through part of Henderson. The road takes you through the historic Railroad Pass, and by the casino of the same name that has the longest continuously operating gaming license. What you come to next is that dam little town.....literally. It's Boulder City, named after what was the original name for Hoover Dam in Boulder Canyon. The dam little town is only "little" in population, and by choice. Currently there are about 16,000 living there and only 120 building permits issued each year to maintain strict growth controls. boulder city: Las Vegas FHA Loan Limits Raised to $400,000 - 03/06/08 05:00 PM
FHA conforming loan limits have just been raised in Clark County to $400,000. This includes Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Henderson, Mesquite, Overton and Boulder City. The previous limits were $304,000 in Clark County. With this increase, it expands the choices available to home buyers in the Las Vegas area. I have mentioned in my previous blogs about all the activities here in Las Vegas, other than gambling. Now that the swim season is wrapping up with the cooler 70s & 80s here in the valley, it is time to enjoy even more of the outdoors......during the 'Second Spring' of the year. The River Mountain Trail I've mentioned before, will be approximately 35 miles in length when completed and connect Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Henderson, Lake Las Vegas and Boulder City. But wait, there's still more......a LOT more. Right now, the Las Vegas Valley has over 750 miles
