As a lot of you already know, my sister and I have a "pet project" called Two Sisters Talking. We posts blogs, recipes, resources, etc. Dana (my sister) wrote a great article about treating burns. And, since she works in the food industry, she knows a lot about getting burned. I thought some of my Bon Appetit friends might enjoy the article, so I decided to share. I ran across an old email a friend had sent about burns – a subject I know all too well about. Since cooking is not only a passion for me, it’s also my livelihood.

Broccoli Polonaise Ingredients 3/4 cup butter or margarine 9 slices white or whole wheat bread, crumbled 3 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and chopped 1 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 3/4 tsp. salt 6 pounds fresh broccoli, trimmed Instructions In a skillet, melt butter. Add bread crumbs and saute until golden. Stir in eggs, parsley and salt. Meanwhile, cook broccoli in a small amount of water until crisp-tender. Drain and transfer to platter. Spoon topping over the broccoli. Quick Tip This recipe can be scaled down for feeding a smaller group. Variations Can substitute asparagus for broccoli. Cooking time (duration):20

Greek Pasta Salad - 08/08/11 11:52 AM
Get your Greek on with this delicious pasta salad… 1 16 oz. box Bow Tie Pasta, cooked al dente 2 Cucumbers, scored, seeded and sliced 1 yellow Bell Pepper, julienne 1 small Red Onion, julienne 1 10 oz. bag of Baby Spinach 1 8 oz. Feta Cheese, cubed 4 oz. Pine Nuts, toasted 1 16 oz. Greek Vinaigrette Cook pasta, according to directions. Rinse and set aside. Toast pine nuts on baking sheet, in 350* oven, for approximately 5-8 minutes. Let cool. Add cucumber, yellow bell pepper and red onion along with Greek vinaigrette. Stir until well blended.
