What's so special about having a Broker's license?
Georgia real estate law provides two types of real estate licenses - salesperson and broker.  Each license has certain criteria required by the State of Georgia.  However, obtaining a Broker's license requires more experience and knowledge.  To obtain a Broker's license, one must have had a salesperson license for at least 3 of the last 5 years, completed 60 instructional hours in Broker's Course Study and then pass the Broker's real estate examination. Therefore, obtaining the Broker's license provides more in-depth knowledge and understanding of the license law.

The other day a perspective customer was telling me what they wanted in a home.  As I listen to their description, a ranch condo came to mine that might work so I started to tell them about the home...."There is a three bedroom ranch condo near Highway 92 and Hames Road in a small neighborhood."  Immediately I notice a puzzled look on the lady's face and stopped talking and asked is there a problem?  Her response "What's a ranch condo?".  I chuckled, "Sorry I was speaking real estate." and went on to explain.

atlanta homes for sale: Bad Market? Heck No - Atlanta Homes For Sales - 02/25/08 02:08 PM
Went to a birthday party this week-end and three people asked me about real estate.  When I said it's a great time to buy or sale, they all said the market is bad.  I asked "why" at which time they got this funny look on their face and replied "I heard it on the new". 
Well in my opinion, I think it's great time in real estate.  Interest rate are low - in the 5 and 6s.  That's single digit numbers and that can't be bad.  Home prices are lower this year, sellers are willing to make more  concessions, and lots of HOMES to pick from.
