Why Keller Williams? I hear that question all the time. New to the business two years ago I had already decided why I would post my license before I even signed up for classes. I was given a copy of The MREA by an agent/friend. It had so much advice about life and personal growth I made my mind up then. Afer joining I knew I had made the right decision. The education and encouragement that I have received has been remarkable. I have heard stories from fellow agents at other brokerages about having to hide paper work and jelously in the office. One friend of mine said she felt obligated to give a referral fee if she asked someone in her office for advice or help. The first contract I wrote I was a wreck and afraid I left something out. One of the top Producers in our office had me come into his office shut the door, had me sit at his desk and went over the entire offer with me, line by line. I was shocked at the time by the care he took. All because he wants others to succeed along with him. This is the common culture here at Keller Williams. Bring your lawn chair, local restaraunts are available for food or bring your own. Just come out and enjoy the community. Everyone and all ages will enjoy. Main Street presents Friday Night Live, a free summer concert series, held the first Friday of each month from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.

Calling all Murfreesboro Agents!! Saturday August 2 at Old Fort Park there will be a gathering to give back to the community, Family Day. People from all over the county and organizations will come together to give less priviledged children (all school ages) back packs filled with school supplies. We have a drop off at Keller Williams, on St. Andrews Dr. There are list in the local stores as to what each grade needs. Just make sure that the back packs are labeled with the right grade. Thanks, I look forward to seeing all my fellow realtors there.

Good News For Tennessee Real Estate Market

Here is an article from July 4th. The area I am in has faired a little better than the majority of Tennessee, But overall good news for the Volunteer State.

Recent national economic developments in the housing market have indeed reduced the new and existing home sales to record lows in Tennessee. In the rural areas of Tennessee, home prices for the most part, have been holding steady with a slight decline in sales. However, the most significant drop in new and existing home prices and sales are in the urban areas of Tennessee.

With the devaluation of our dollar and high energy costs, I see a two year stagnation in the real estate market for Tennessee. New home builders have a high inventory of unsold units which causes a significant drop in home values. This makes a buyers market with many bargains to choose from.

The existing home sales market is also affected by the high supply and low demand of new homes in inventory. The average homeowner would like top dollar for their property, however in todays market this is most difficult. The high inventory of new homes, makes a difficult situation for the homeowner that wishes to sell their property.

In Tennessee, as well as most other states, the home and apartment rental market is on the upswing, with many new developments being under construction throughout the state.

In conclusion:
The future outlook for the Tennessee real estate market is not as bleak as other states, due to many valuable assets that attract home buyers from the northern states as a retirement destination. Tennessee will indeed fair better in the housing market than some of the high growth sections of the country, such as California or Florida. In some states, the home market may take years to rebound.

Not Real Sure What To Say Here Or How It Works. But, If I don't make a mistake I am not going to learn. Thought I would put a question out there that I get asked often just to see what you guys come up with.

"I have recently relocated to the area (Tennessee). I have made several offers on Homes at about 20% under asking price. Where is was living before, (FL, MI, CA) that is normal for the market. I don't understand why my offers are not beign accepted. I thought this was a don market and you can get good deals now.
