The Power & Challenge of Rural Curb Appeal - 02/23/07 01:58 AM
I owned a property with 4.5 acres - when it was time to sell, I knew this would be one of my biggest challenges! We built this home ourselves - I designed the home from concept to completion - and we thought we would live there forever so all I had to think about was ‘what did I want'. So the house was a vacation style home (sort of an A frame) with 1.5 stories and 16ft tall walls and a ceiling peek of 21 feet from the main floor and a wonderful window wall of tall angled windows that overlooked our piece (0 comments)

Home Staging & 'GREEN' Trends to increase Value - 02/21/07 12:07 PM
Todays Consumers are becoming more involved in the 'Green' movement & trends, which is great for the environment -But how can we capitalize on this in the Real Estate Market? I have a few Ideas; pimarily focused on the home staging part of real estate. As Professional Home Staging experts in our areas, we hold the power to create beautiful spaces for our clients that help them achieve their goals of selling a property and appealing to the market buyers. If we could step it up a notch (or 2) I think we could increase the value of our services to our clients (1 comments)
Stagers & Realtors - A perfect Match? - 02/21/07 10:44 AM
I wanted to ask all stagers and realtors their feelings about working together after reading many posts about home stagers marketing to realtors and getting only luke warm repsonses at best. For those realtors / real estate agents that dont know about home staging or how it can benifit them here's my pitch: Real Estate Agents can benifit from partnering with a Home Staging Professional by allowing you to have more time to do what you are trained to do: Get more listings and sell more listings. Professional Home Stagers can improve the relationships between Realtors and Home sellers by, having the realtor not (0 comments)
What you need to know Before you hire a Home Stager - 02/21/07 12:52 AM
Home Staging is a non-regulated industry. Keeping this in mind - Professional Home Stagers DO NOT require licensing and there is no legally recognized certification or accreditation. If a Home Staging professional claims to be accredited, it is simply a misleading use of words / marketing strategy. Cheryl Reynen, President of Set the Stage; is a Staging Diva Graduate and has undergone extensive training along with 3 years experience. There is no such 'home staging' license that would govern any home staging professional by specific home staging laws or regulations within Canada. Professional Home staging is a new industry within the (1 comments)
Setting the Stage for Comox Valley Homes for Sale - 02/21/07 12:29 AM
what is fabulous for living isn't always fabulous for selling With recent news about home sale prices holding steady in the past month, it looks like home prices have finally peaked and even more homeowners will be looking to cash in on their home sale, which demands some new thinking from home sellers to attract and have the most impact on market buyers. Indications from real estate market analysts - 2007 is gearing up to be an exciting year in the Comox Valley where homes are still selling throughout winter and there are a number of homes still available, not to mention (1 comments)
