I grew up with Harley Davidson with my brother being a Hell's Angel and myself riding his shirt tail into manhood. This quickly fell apart with the loss of two friends and then myself entering into the USMC to "get my life on track" according to the man behind the bench. Why I bring this up in my blog is that with now once again having the resources to purchase a Harley I have found it quite interesting on how the presumption of the person who is the consumer is now perceived to be a middle class citizen or higher. Not that this is a bad thing and I feel that with all the changes that Harley has gone through is great, but I find the attitude of the sales people strange and a bit pompous. Not to mention the pricing of these once called outlaw machines. I remeber my first one which I worked on all the time and then rode cross country to my new base out in California. Today I was informed that the bike I would like to buy is $25k. Ouch! My point is that with the new group of Harley Owners or know to themselves and self proclaim HOGS is that you now need to be either in a position to pay more for a toy than most spend on a car of that with the proposed financing of 8% or higher you must be out of your mind to want this lifestyle. I built my own and sold it for a profit to pay for a semister in college and have regretted it since. It would have been better to take a student loan and keep the bike and probably more financally feasible. I know I've rambled one with this. but how I miss the 70's Have a great day and buy a European bike if you want to have something afforadble and live the dream.

Having talked with many skiers who have skied Attitash / Bear Peak I must write to say all that I have heard in regards to the snow conditions there are great. I think that with the new snow making technology that they have put into the mountains with over 2.5 million and with the winter that we have been gifted with thus far if you are a winter sports fan and have not skied Attitash yet get up to Bartlett NH and start to capture the moment.
