Not-So-Strategic-Default debt lingers for refinanced mortgages...

This is an important nuance to anyone who may be underwater on their mortgage debt. We've had three conversations with potential new clients over the past three weeks touching upon this important nuance about a refinanced mortgage in California.
The California Association of Realtors sponsored SB1178 bill to at least try to take away the sting for those fiscally responsible individuals who refinanced their loan for all the right reasons to take advantage of some of the best interest rates - yet - buried somewhere in the fine print of their loan changed in terms from non-recourse to recourse...
