West Cleveland Suburbs ~ Home Buyer Tips ~ #2 - Where IS that crystal ball??
Here's Tip #2 of the Top 10 Tips To Take the Stress Out of Homebuying:

2. Remember, there's no "right" time to buy, just as there's no perfect time to sell. If you find a home now, don't try to second-guess interest rates or the housing market by waiting longer - you risk losing out on the home of your dreams. The housing market usually doesn't change fast enough to make that much difference in price, and a good home won't stay on the market … (4 comments)

North Olmsted, OH Real Estate Housing Market Activity ~ week ending 7/10/09
Well, the 4th of July holiday has come and gone, and folks are back to work after a couple short work weeks. Although there are still quite a few properties for sale in North Olmsted, OH we also have more homes under contract...ie: Pending! No titles have transferred in the previous week, but that will change as the month goes along. Many realtors suggest the buyer close nearer to the end of the month, as the buyer will need to bring less money to the closing table. I'll be … (0 comments)

North Olmsted, OH Housing Market Activity ~ week ending 6/5/09
Hello everyone!
Welcome to North Olmsted, Ohio! We're one of the largest suburbs of Cleveland, and I happen to think one of the most diverse and convenient! Convenient to 2 major highways, the Ohio Turnpike, Cleveland-Hopkins Airport, a major shopping mall, and 20 minutes to downtown. Being born & raised a Clevelander, I made North Olmsted my home in 1994 ~ and I'm thrilled I did!
Almost every single time I go to the grocery store, or the library, or the high school to help in the bookstore, someone asks, "So … (0 comments)

Buying a home should be fun, not stressful. As you look for your dream home, keep in mind these tips for making the process as peaceful as possible.
1. Find a real estate agent who you connect with. Home buying is not only a big financial commitment, but also an emotional one. It's critical that the REALTOR® you chose is both highly skilled and a good fit with your personality.2. Remember, there's no "right" time to buy, just as there's no perfect time to sell. If you find a home now, don't try to second-guess interest rates or the housing market … (3 comments)

First-time Home Buyers - $8,000 Tax Credit for Down Payment!!
This was just announced today - and it's HUGE!!!

Tax Credit Can Be Used for Down Payment
Shaun Donovan, secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, on Tuesday said that the Federal Housing Administration is going to permit its lenders to allow home buyers to use the $8,000 tax credit as a down payment.Previously, most buyers wouldn't receive the funds until after they filed their tax return, and that deterred some people from using the credit. The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® has … (2 comments)

first time homebuyer: These just may be the "good old days"! - 01/15/09 10:30 AM
So I woke up this morning thinking about interest rates.
I know, "get a life, Sue". But besides my family (both the 2 and 4 legged members), this is my life.
And lately I keep hearing about how bad the interest rates were in the 1980s. So I did a bit of research, and found the highest rates in 1981...ranging from 16% to 21%. Wow, those numbers seem beyond comprehension to me!
Then I started wondering what those numbers meant to our housing budget. I chose 18% as an average rate from "the good old days".
Take a look at your … (11 comments)

first time homebuyer: When do I say "Uncle"?? - 12/08/08 09:09 AM
After reading Jennifer Allan's post the other day regarding prospecting, I started doing some serious thinking about this. I'm one of those who really, really, REALLY dislikes prospecting.
I'm not a cold-caller. I hate receiving calls at home, unless it's from family or friends.
And when I say I follow The Golden Rule in my business, well, those aren't just words. I truly do try 110% to live by it.

But I love getting mail!! Email, snailmail...whatever. *except bills - yuk!* Anyway, I still get a thrill when there's something fun in my mailbox. Anyone remember Mail Time on Blue's Clues? Yeah, … (25 comments)
