Want a pick-me-up when you're wondering if ANY houses are selling, because you have a listing or two that no one seems to want to buy?
Well, I just went into my MLS to clean house. Several of my clients, and more than several prospects, have searches that I've set up for them and their results pages were getting pretty full. One client in particular - I have been working with them off & on for several years. Wonderful people...truly. But self-proclaimed "picky buyers". Facebook has put me in touch with out of town relatives, keeps me in touch with my kids (even when they're in the same house!) and most recently, brought me a new client. Who also happened to be my high school sweetheart, once upon a time!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! For me, December began with vacationing in Florida with my dear friend and mentor Jennifer Allan, and ended with celebrating the 8th year in my house! New Year's Eve took on a whole new meaning for me on December 31, 2001 when I was handed the keys to MY new home! Well, not exactly new (built in 1955), but it was new to me!
So when people ask, "Do houses really sell in the winter in Cleveland?", I can say emphatically, "Yes, they do!!"

Have you noticed anything different in my Market Activity stats this week? Yes, I've changed the colors! With football season right around the corner, I thought it appropriate that I honor the North Olmsted Eagles with their orange and black! GO EAGLES!!!
And way to go North Olmsted! The inventory continues to sell and the average sales price is scooting back up a bit. That's great news!
Last week I even added to the inventory with my new listing at 3547 Walter Rd...check it out!

North Olmsted, OH Real Estate Housing Market Activity ~ week ending 7/31/09
The month of July in North Olmsted continues to be encouraging as far as houses selling! We had five more closings, and 7 more properties under contract. The average price of the homes Sold is down this week due to a condo and a couple of the smaller homes in the area closing. Just to make things interesting this week, we also had a foreclosure in the mix, which always brings the average down.

That case of mistaken identity I wrote about recently? Well, I thought I'd post a follow-up. I did get the listing (it's on tour today!!), and they are wonderful folks! They're really counting on me to help them, and I'd love nothing more than to bring them a great offer!
When we met, it was like we'd known each other forever! And they're convinced I'm their good luck charm. Interestingly enough, because of how I came into their lives...and my name!
I jokingly said, "No pressure there!!"
