Well last night I watched another in a long line of Presidential addresses I've seen during my half century as a US citizen. Yes, I am lucky enough to be an American and a life long registered Republican (shhh....don't tell anybody). As always is the case, the political party not occupying the Presidential seat spent more time on their keisters than the party in power. Ho - Hum... nothing really new there. The Presidents presentation did seem to lack specifics regarding the entire health care plan. Ho - Hum....that's always the case as well. The house is obviously divided. It seems

.......We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. I read with interest the Morning Call article on Monday which mentioned that, as a result of the Presidents speech issued to the school systems for grades 1 through 12 to listen to on Tuesday, several people were holding their children out of school yesterday. With all the chatter and the press relative to the Capitol Hill health care reform progress or lack there of comes a feeling of being akin to a mushroom. You know the one that goes, I just stand here in the dark while crap gets thrown on me. Last night 90 minuets of my life were spent staring at the picture box, wondering why....... Why, after mentioning the voting record of the opposition, does the number have to be repeated shortly after it was stated? Do the candidates think the folks in the audience and watch at home are stupid, hard of hearing, what??? Why is it so difficult to directly answer a question? How can you get Congress to move more quickly on bills that require passing? I believe that was close to the question that was asked. Did anyone hear a real answer? Perhaps I missed it!

I am aware that from a PC perspective this might be a some sort of improper. But, as an American, I feel compelled to share my experience and translation of same with as many people as possible. Monday night the love of my life and I had the opportunity to hear Barack Obama speak at a town hall style presentation at lovely Muhlenberg College in the beautiful city of Allentown Pennsylvania. Senator Obama was scheduled to begin at 5:50, so we arrived in the cold and rainy weather at 5:00. There was a mob of people waiting from the front door into the
