marketing: No Customer Since 1972: Product Failure or Lack of Marketing? - 10/22/08 04:49 PM
I saw this article about a broom company located in Tokyo, Japan that has not had a customer since 1972! First of all, how do you stay in business all these years without customers? Aside from that issue, I have other concerns. First to put it in perspective, in 1972 Richard Nixon was President (Watergate was yet to happen); Godfather was Best Picture; the first female FBI agent was hired; the very first female was admitted to Dartmouth and the first scientific handheld calculator, the HP-35, was introduced. So, a lot has happened since this store had made a sale.

A blogger, in any profession, at some point will ask the question: Who am I? In fact other questions will quickly follow. Why am I blogging? Is my blog working? Do I need to make money from blogging to justify the effort? How come my blog isn’t as good as that blog? These questions are very relevant since the whole Real Estate blogging space is currently experiencing explosive growth. More and more agents are giving it a “try”. So, my question is why is everyone jumping in? What is everyone seeking? Do you suppose that blogging is just another marketing sensation

My wife and I have belonged to a chapter of a business networking group for over two years. This group has accounted for almost 35% of total business volume during this time. This group has provided us a structured environment for the development and exchange of quality business referrals. These are not cold leads, but warm referrals. There is a very clear distinction and a very important one. I've attended various networking events around town through the years and these events are very time consuming and not as rewarding.
