This Sunday and several others you can head to the National Sporting Library & Musuem 102 The Plains Rd, Middleburg Virginia for from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE. It is a free sketching session with this Sunday's featured leader and local artist Barbara Sharp as your guide. Materials are provided and you get free admission to the museum ( which I highly recommend you join). virginia: An Afternoon off in Clifton Virginia

Today my husband and I went exploring in our own backyard! A short distance away from home is the lovely little town of Clifton Virginia in Fairfax county. A horse lover and country girl I enjoyed the scenic ride and was surprised how quickly I felt we had left busy Fairfax behind. Rolling fields, horse farms, wooded lots and a mix of historic, majestic, and family homes in the surrounding area. A warm but wonderful evening of running at the 8th annual Potomac River Running Twilight Festival 4- Miler, presented by Landsdowne Private Wealth Management. The event held this past Saturday June 8th in Ashburn, Virginia supplied runners with a cold beer and pizza for extra motivation to cross the finish line! Some of the race net proceeds are donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! A great cause and I had so much fun!
