As indicated in my post Shadows At White Oak, Shadows Lake is the latest filing of the Shadows At White Oak community in Baton Rouge Louisiana.  This neighborhood is highly restricted with sidewalks,subdivision required mailboxes,curb and street gutters and underground utilities.  A large private fishing lake is located in the neighborhood for the enjoyment of the residents.  Shadows Lake homeowners also have full use of the tennis courts and park located in the adjoining Shadows At White Oak neighborhood. 
Shadows Lake consisted on new construction homes and homes under 3 years old. The average home in Shadows Lake consist of at typically 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths.  … (0 comments)

The Shadows at White Oak subdivision, Baton Rouge Louisiana - 04/07/07 12:58 PM
The Shadows at White Oak subdivision is located off of S. Harrells Ferry in the southeast section of Baton Rouge.  This area of town is commonly knowen as area 43.  The Shadows at White Oak is a nice neighborhood of single family homes.  Some of the subdivision amentities include a large neighborhood park with swingsets and play equipment. This neighborhood/community contains two tennis courts and a large lake that is soley for the use of the residents.
The Shadows at White Oak is part of the Shadows Communty, which includes a Shadows Lakes.  The homeowners dues for both neighborhoods for 2007-2008 is $175 per … (0 comments)

Viator's Favorite Spinich and Artichoke Dip - 04/06/07 01:40 PM
This is a great dip that I have served at many parties.  Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
1 can artichoke hearts,drained and well chopped
1 cup mozarella cheese,shredded
1 cup mayo
1 cup fresh shredded Parmesan cheese
1 package frozen chopped spinich,cooked and well drained
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp red pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Mix all together.  Pour in baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Serve with chips and a bowl of picante on the side!

Corn Casserole - 04/06/07 01:36 PM
This is a great recipe from one of my clients:
Mix the following in a casserold dish:
1 can of cream of celery soup
2 cans of corn
1/2 cup of crushed saltine crackers
2 eggs
salt and pepper to taste
Once it is well mixed, sprinkle some crushed saltine crackers on top with one pat of butter.  Bake on 350 degress from 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.

As I promised in an earlier post, this entry will ATTEMPT to clear up some common misconceptions concerning flood insurance.
Misconception #1: "Flood insurance rates will vary from company to company.  You can "shop" flood insurance and find the best price."  WRONG
Fact:   Companies selling flood insurance DO NOT set flood insurance rates.  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides flood zone information to establish the insurance rates.  Once an area's flood zones and rates have been determined and established by the Federal Government, all companies offering National Flood Insurance provide coverage at the same price.  It is imperative that a buyer work with an experienced, well versed insurance agent … (0 comments)
