      <title>Good News!!  Rural Development Loans (100% financing) are Available for Some Areas in Baton Rouge!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;As stated in one of my earlier post, the area approved for &lt;strong&gt;Rural Development&lt;/strong&gt; or &lt;strong&gt;RD Loans&lt;/strong&gt; was expanded after the hurricanes to included parts of &lt;strong&gt;East Baton Rouge parish&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp; However, what I was not aware of until recently was that this included parts of actual &lt;strong&gt;Baton Rouge&lt;/strong&gt;!&amp;nbsp; If the &lt;strong&gt;home&lt;/strong&gt; is located in the unincorporated areas of &lt;strong&gt;Baton Rouge&lt;/strong&gt; than it is eligible for this 100% loan.&amp;nbsp; Each address will need to be checked to verify whether it falls outside of the city limits but as an example, most of the Shenandoah area and large sections of the Perkins Road area qualify!&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Great News about the Baton Rouge/Ascension Real Estate Market!</title>

      <title>Great 100% financing available in East Baton Rouge,Livingston and Ascension Parishes!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;When people hear the term rural development loan most think of a piece of property out in the middle of nowhere.&amp;nbsp; Luckily, that is not the truth!&amp;nbsp; Rural development loans are available for&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;ALL &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;of Ascension,Livingston,West and East Felician,West Baton Rouge and &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;SOME&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;of East Baton Rouge parishes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Composting is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to go green.&amp;nbsp; The Recycling Office of the City Parish is here to help you with that also!&amp;nbsp; Compost bins can be purchased at their semi-annual compost bin sale. Free compost is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. until noon at the Dean Domingues Compost Facility, located at 400 Dugas Road. Machinery is available to load pickup trucks and trailers.       <title>The REAL news about the housing market in Louisiana Part 1</title>

      <title>Great Rates and Information on the new East Baton Rouge Parish Bond Issue!</title>

There are provisions geared toward both existing businesses and businesses that are new to the GO Zone area.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Go Zone Act allows qualifying real and personal property used in the &amp;lsquo;active conduct of a trade or a business&amp;#39;.&amp;nbsp; Real property &amp;nbsp;may be allowed an additional depreciation deduction equal to 50% of the depreciable basis for the first year the property is placed in service. Qualifying residential and non-residential real property must be placed in service before &lt;strong&gt;December 31, 2008&lt;/strong&gt;. All other qualifying property must be placed in service before &lt;strong&gt;December 31, 2007&lt;/strong&gt;.       <title>Be sure to catch the Festival Of Lights in Downtown Baton Rouge this Friday!</title>

      <title>The Red Stick Farmer's Market...Something for Everyone!</title>
      <description>&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;a href="http://blogbatonrouge.com" title="Todd and Lily at the Red Stick Farmer&amp;#39;s Market" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/3/2/8/5/9/ar119540689995823.JPG" height="184" alt=" " width="158" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;My family has a weekend&amp;nbsp;ritual that is unwavering to say the least!&amp;nbsp; Every Saturday morning like clockwork(early morning clockwork!) my daughter Lily(the cute one in the picture to the left) rouses the rest of the household and pesters all involved until we dutifully take her to the Red Stick Farmers Market.&amp;nbsp; Once there, we typically scattered with our alloted money and enjoy an hour or so of browsing and buying some of the freshest and unique produce and products directly from local farmers.&lt;img title="Locally grown peppers and creole tomatoes at the Red Stick Farmers Market in Baton Rouge" src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/8/4/8/1/0/ar119540822601848.JPG" height="149" align="right" alt="Locally grown peppers and creole tomatoes at the Red Stick Farmers Market in Baton Rouge" width="167" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;This past Saturday&amp;#39;s selection included turnips,radishes,fresh lettuce(arugula and&amp;nbsp;kale to name a few).sweet potatoes,tomatoes,shallots,mustard and collard greens and much much more.&amp;nbsp; I bought my usual fresh sunflowers and mums for the kitchen table &amp;nbsp;and picked up a basil plant from the plant vendor for the herb garden.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&amp;nbsp;Scattered among the more typical veggies that you would expect to find at a Farmer&amp;#39;s Market are some items that&amp;nbsp;might surprise you.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;One of my favorite vendor&amp;#39;s is a local chicken farmer from Zachary, La.&amp;nbsp; The name of the their farm is Louisiana Yard Bird and they sell whole organic chickens.&amp;nbsp; I find that their product is of much higher quality than what I buy from the grocery store.&amp;nbsp; There is also a lamb farmer, cattle farmer and a shrimper available most Saturdays.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I also highly recommend the local dairy farmer, Smith&amp;#39;s Creamery.&amp;nbsp; Their website is &lt;a href="http://www.smithcreamery.com/"&gt;http://www.smithcreamery.com/&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; They sell high quality cheese,cream,milk, butter and other products every Saturday at the Red Stick Market.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;img title="Amoto&amp;#39;s Winery at the Red Stick Market in Downtown Baton Rouge, La" src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/4/3/4/6/5/ar11954094556434.JPG" height="168" alt=" " width="180" /&gt;One of &amp;nbsp;the more unique items that is available at the Red Stick Farmer&amp;#39;s Market is the strawberry wine made by local winery, Amoto&amp;#39;s Winery.&amp;nbsp; Amato&amp;#39;s Winery is a family owned and operated business specializing in dry, semi-sweet and sweet strawberry wine made from local strawberries.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&amp;nbsp;File&amp;#39; is a product that is truly unique to Louisiana.&amp;nbsp; It is a blend of herbs and spices that is used in gumbo and as seasoning on meat and poultry.&amp;nbsp; It is a necessity for cooking authentic Cajun and Creole&amp;nbsp;cuisines.       <title>I have GREAT news for anyone interested in Louisiana State Bond Money Loans!</title>
