fsbo: Let's Stop Making FSBO Owners Feel Like They Are WRONG...

...for selling on their own! I think too many of us like to use the word "right" when describing why we're needed when speaking with them, and it puts out the implication that they're wrong...
Alot of my fellow agents have approached FSBO owners in a way that I can understand why they may not want to hear from us. However, it is still important to give the WHY without giving them the “how to” when making the initial contact. I give a bit of it here. I would be more than happy to communicate (3 comments)

What you don’t control are the existing market conditions, how many sellers you are competing against or value, which are determined by the buyer. Once your home is on the market, the clock starts ticking. Whether you’re transitioning to expand your family or relocating out of state, no one wants their home on the market for a long time. So, yesterday I had a pretty interesting and somewhat productive day on the open house front. I had a little time to kill before meeting a colleague at his open house (he was helping another agent), so I followed the signs to a FSBO open house. I've visited quite a few open houses in the last year or so, and this was the first time I have been to a FSBO. The property was really nice and had great space, not sure if was priced properly for the area where it was, but if it wasn't, I doubt it was priced (6 comments)
