This photo was taken from the public dock on Lakeshore Drive at the end of Harbor Lake Drive. This is looking southwest in the direction of Swimming Pen Creek and Whitey's Fish Camp. Exciting news, Jacksonville residents! Mayor John Peyton announced that Jacksonville is bidding for the World Cup to come here in 2018 or 2022. Now I realize it's a bit down the road, but it will be here before you know it! And I'm sure there's lots to do to get ready for a World Cup - maybe not as much as the Olympics, but the Super Bowl is probably a good example.

Road Construction - Lake Asbury Area in Green Cove Springs FL - 11/09/09 12:01 PM

Construction is slow driving down CR 209 from CR 220 in the Lake Asbury area of Green Cove Springs. The widening of the road and bridge over Black Creek has finally begun.


Coming down CR 209 from Sandridge towards US 17, traffic is also slow due to construction there - they are digging a big hole for some reason at the intersection of CR 209 N (Russell Rd) and CR 209 at the railroad tracks heading east to US 17.

The "Get Motivated" Seminar was in Jacksonville today and a group of people from our office went, including our Broker. It was held at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena down by the Stadium and Suns' Baseball Field in downtown Jacksonville.
For a mere $19.00 per office, you could see Zig Ziglar, Steve Forbes, Rudi Guiliani, Colin Powell, Laura Bush, Terry Bradshaw - Live! I can't remember ever seeing and hearing so many famous people at one time. Plus, there were other excellent speakers who are not as well known, but some of them were very compelling.
