"Government Should Encourage Foreclosure"...Really????? - 09/01/10 11:50 PM
"Government Should Encourage Foreclosure"...Really????? According to an article today in Forbes.com, the government should be encouraging banks to foreclose houses. Why? Because then we would quickly work through all the distressed inventory and we could get back to a normal housing market. Really??????? What about the 'Shadow Inventory' we already have? It is reported that between 700,000 to 3,000,000 foreclosed properties are being held by the banks in order to avoid flooding the market and depressing prices further. Remember, paraphrasing one of my favorite blog post titles "To you and me it's a home, but to the bank it's scrap metal." (4 comments)
