St. Augustine has many facets, and we discovered yet another this past weekend while visiting our son for Parent's Weekend at Flagler College. We happened on a small bazaar tucked into one of the buildings on St. George Street. I noticed the soaps immediately as we strolled past. The scents and colors captivated me and I had to visit.

They Don't Make Them Like This Anymore Last weekend, we had the pleasure of visiting Markland House at Flagler College for a Reception with the President at the beginning of Parent's Weekend. We had seen the exterior of Markland House over a year ago while looking for a location for another event, and ever since I had wanted to see the inside.

Buyers, especially those moving to Florida from out of state, are not sure if they need to buy flood insurance.
Even if a home is on the water, if it is in Flood Zone 'X', you do not have to buy flood insurance. Homeowner's insurance does not cover rising water damage if there is no flood insurance policy.

Here is a photo shot around Christmas time a few years ago. I like it because it captures our shores in the winter. A piece of Spanish moss, sandy beach, boat house and sun setting. It's really beautiful here on Fleming Island and Doctor's Lake is a big part of what makes it so great to live here.
