In my last blog I shared the story of an unfulfilled experience resulting from a cab driver taking me to the wrong destination. Or at least from my perspective it was the wrong place. He was pleased with the location, it had nice restaurants, was a clean, safe area of the community. BUT -I wanted to go to the beach. What went wrong?  I did not know my options, and he did not ask for clarification. A few years ago, while disembarking from a speaking engagement on a Princess Line cruise, I asked one of the ships first officers for accommodations advice. I had a day to spend in the LA, but did not want to stray too far from LAX as my flight back to Winnipeg was mid morning of the next day. The answer, he said was obvious - Vienna Beach - I could choose from a number of 'chic and shabby' beach front motels.

After posting extraordinary gains in 2007, housing market performance will moderate in most major Canadian centres in 2008, according to a report released today by RE/MAX.
