Bet you'll go to your kitchen to check this one out. I did.

Well, I'm not telling everyone my age, as most of you already know...BUT...I had to go into the kitchen and check this out for myself. Who ever looks at the end of your aluminum foil box? What a fantastic idea. Now, if someone would just make plastic wrap that didn't stick to itself.

Ive been using aluminum foil for more years than I care to remember. Great stuff, but sometimes it can be a pain. You know, like when you are in the middle of doing something and you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time.

Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, Press here to lock end.. Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I cant count the number of times the Saran warp roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up.

I am sharing this with my friends that did not know this. If you all ready know this, then it's just some renewed information and I'm dumber than I already feel. If you didn't know this, let me know so I won't feel so dumb.

I hope Im not the only person that didnt know about this......

<kbd>Here's something I think is REALLY WORTH TALKING ABOUT! </kbd>

<kbd>CHRIST FOR LIFE SKATE CHURCH </kbd><kbd> </kbd>

<kbd></kbd>

This outreach is lead by Tara and Buck Chavarria

How Christ For Life Sk8 Church Began One day in July Buck and Tara had a large going away party for some friends and they ended up with a ton of food left over. Tara was standing in the kitchen and literally heard a voice say "bring it to the skate park". Not only was she scared but it was weird to hear God so audibly, and no way was she going to go to the skate park and just serve food. She tried to go about her day and she just couldn't get that voice to go away. So Tara packed all the food and lemonade in the back of her car and when Buck got home they decided to go to the skate park. All they did was feed everyone and meet them and it exhilarated them! Buck & Tara continued every Thursday and by the time it got cold they moved the dinner to their own house and had about 15 kids on average that came every Thursday. Sometimes they give a talk sometimes they just hang out.

The Minsitry

Christ for Life sk8 Church is a faith based, non-denominational organization that brings the Gospel to skateboarders and their culture in a fun, relevant, and non-threatening way. Our goal is to meet you where you are and show you the love of Christ. You do not have to skateboard to hang out!

Tara and Buck would like to construct thier own skate park to use year round. There will be a middle school night, a high school night, and an over 18 night. There will be an hour of skating, a short message, and then another ½ hour of skating. All participants must stay through the whole time. Their goal is to provide a safe drug and alcohol free place where kids and young adults can hear a positive message.

Here is a 3 acre parcel in Steamboat Springs

It offers Sk8 Church everything needed to make the dream come true! Take a look at this...

There are fundraisings you can get yourself involved in and you can give to the ministry. To get involved in the fundraising activities being held contact <kbd>CHRIST FOR LIFE SKATE CHURCH </kbd><kbd> </kbd>You can also donate money to the ministry. Depending on financing and construction costs, their goal is to have all units deed restricted. If everything proceeds in a positive direction, work could begin as soon as late summer early fall, structures ordered next winter and available for purchase in the summer of 2009.

Climbing Wall In Steamboat Springs Middle School

Lots of fundraising and planning by Steamboat Springs Middle School (SSMS) outdoor education program Everything Outdoor Steamboat finally replaced the old climbing wall (a plywood structure built in 1994) and unveiled a new climbing wall. The realistic climbing wall, includes many tricky formations and an overhang, is more than 30 feet above ground in the schools main entrance and constructed of a steel structure with scraped concrete. It's outfitted with 3 auto-belay systems that suspend ropes from the top of the wall to allow students to safely climb without needing belaying on the ground. Students are lowered slowly to the ground through tension on the ropes when they fall, thus no mechanical failure which meets insurance requirements for the structure and eliminates accidents. This allows more kids to get use of the new climbing wall and learn climbing techniques.

The school looks forward to showing-off the new wall during an open house in the next couple weeks then possibly opening the wall to the public a couple nights a week with a small cost. Additional funding is still needed for a floor covering at the base of the wall and a 4th belay system.

They love getting anything and they're so thankful! Treats For Troops has so many quick and easy package ideas with varying prices.
Yesterday I was scrolling through blogs posted in the WCR Group and I stumbled on this post: Alphabet Soup - Those Letters After My Name...and the Two Letters You Don't See, by Margaret Rome. I wrote a comment to Margaret basically letting her know that I felt she had touched so many people's lives because she had such tremendous comments back to her! Well...I'm sitting at the office and about 10 minutes after making my comment to Margaret's blog my cell phone rings...who do think it was? RIGHT, it was Margaret! She wanted to tell me that my comment had really touched a part of her and felt the need to give me a call rather than a comment back! I was so impressed and while we spoke she shared ideas and thoughts and inspirations with me. I am indeed honored to have met Margaret and although our meeting was not face-to-face, I made a new friend! I have the ActiveRain network community to meet so many wonderful people. Thank you!

OFHEO, FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC ANNOUNCE INITIATIVE TO INCREASE MORTGAGE MARKET LIQUIDITY

Washington, DC - OFHEO, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac today announced a major initiative to increase liquidity in support of the U.S. mortgage market. The initiative is expected to provide up to $200 billion of immediate liquidity to the mortgage-backed securities market.

OFHEO estimates that Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's existing capabilities, combined with this new initiative and the release of the portfolio caps announced in February, should allow the GSEs to purchase or guarantee about $2 trillion in mortgages this year. This capacity will permit them to do more in the jumbo temporary conforming market, subprime refinancing and loan modifications areas.

To support growth and further restore market liquidity, OFHEO announced that it would begin to permit a significant portion of the GSEs' 30 percent OFHEO-directed capital surplus to be invested in mortgages and MBS. As a key part of this initiative, both companies announced that they will begin the process to raise significant capital. Both companies also said they would maintain overall capital levels well in excess of requirements while the mortgage market recovers in order to ensure market confidence and fulfill their public mission.

OFHEO announced that Fannie Mae is in full compliance with its Consent Order and that Freddie Mac has one remaining requirement relating to the separation of the Chairman and CEO positions. OFHEO expects to lift these Consent Orders in the near term. In view of this progress, the public purpose of the two companies, and ongoing market conditions, OFHEO concludes that it is appropriate to reduce immediately the existing 30 percent OFHEO-directed capital requirement to a 20 percent level, and will consider further reductions in the future.

Additionally, all parties recognize the need for a world-class regulatory structure and have renewed a shared commitment to work for comprehensive GSE reform legislation.

"Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have played a very important and beneficial role in the mortgage markets over the last year," said OFHEO Director James Lockhart. "Let me be clear - both companies have prudent cushions above the OFHEO-directed capital requirements and have increased their reserves. We believe they can play an even more positive role in providing the stability and liquidity the markets need right now. OFHEO will remain vigilant in supervising the safe and sound operations of these companies, and will act quickly to address any deficiencies that may arise. Furthermore, we recognize the need to ensure that their capital levels are strong, protecting them from unforeseen risks as the market recovers."

Fannie Mae President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Mudd said, "We are working with our customers, regulators and policy makers to minimize foreclosures, increase affordability - and as of today - to restore liquidity in the market. This progressive, sustainable plan will help bring the stability the market needs."

Freddie Mac Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Syron said, "The recent environment demonstrates the benefits of the GSEs to the U.S. economy. This approach allows us to continue to create these benefits in a way that balances our mission to provide stability, liquidity, and affordability consistent with safety and soundness while enhancing the interests of shareholders."
