The Toshiba Golf Classic is beginning tomorrow at the Newport Beach Country Club in Newport Beach. The Newport Beach Country Club is located at 1600 East Coast Highway, Newport Beach, CA 92660.

The Toshiba Golf Classic begins March 7th, 2011 (tomorrow), and runs through March 13th, 2011. Fred Couples has returned to Newport Beach to defend his title, because he won the tournament last year. Huntington State Beach Lifeguard RE-Qualification Swim
The Huntington State Beach Lifeguard Re-Qual swim, and try outs were held today in Huntington Beach at Lifeguard Headquarters at Magnolia and Coast HIghway. The swim for the re-hires (or exisiting Lifeguards) consisted of a 1000 yard ocean swim, around two buoys and back into shore. The swim had to be completed within 20 minutes.  The air temperature was in the mid 60′s, and water temp was approximately in the mid 50′s.
