Newport Shores in Newport Beach is surrounded by a Canal which is fed by the tide. Newport Shores is surrounded by the Canal which is fed the tide. The water level rises along with the tide. On the Canal Street side - the water way is fairly good size, and it makes for a very nice stand up paddle board ride or kayak.This area is managed by the Army Corp of Engineers and they have begun dredging this area. Newport Shores in Newport Beach | River Jetty in Newport Beach It was absolutely like summer the past two days with this fantastic weather continuing for the next couple of days. For the past couple of evenings, I took my dog Patrick to the beach to enjoy this fantastic weather, and the water temp in the ocean was pretty warm also. There were lots of surfers, dog walkers, and people just enjoying this incredible weather we are having here on the west coast.
Patrick got to enjoy some running and swimming. He loves to chase the birds.

Eat Chow, a brand new casual cafe has been open for the pasts  four years in Eastside Costa Mesa, and they have just opened a second location in West Newport at Newport Shores.

Eat Chow has a delicious menu including soup, salads. Last night I ate there and enjoy a blackened ahi salad which was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the chopped fried chicken salad. Great location and fabulous food! A new favorite in the Newport Shores area in Newport Beach!
