It's My Birthday, And I'll Cry If I Want To
I actually wrote this post two years ago, but want to share it again today, on my birthday, because it means so much to me. 
When I turned thirty, about a hundred years ago,  my family had a big surprise party for me and although my neighbors were there, my closest friends were there and most of my family was there...there was one very important person missing. 
My grandmother was not able to attend my party.

I recently did a home staging consult for some young sellers...two couples sharing a home.  Prior to the females moving in, the home was occupied by four or five males.
"Animal House" comes to mind.
Replacing a few dudes with the two ladies resulted in some improvement, but overall the house is in need of some major cleaning, decluttering, and a bit of furniture placement adjustment. 

I was very impressed with the way these young sellers have approached the home selling process.  They did extensive research online and concluded that a home staging consult was their first step.
 What this house needs is a transformation from frat house to fabulous!

My aunt and uncle recently did some diy renovations in their home, and invited us over for a family gathering last night.  Their newly updated living room is beautiful, but it's their new sofa table that really got my attention.

Rye Harbor lost Saunders Restaurant last year.  This year Rye Harbor gained "The Moorings", four prime house lots with amazing harbor views.  The Moorings has gotten some attention recently for a unique marketing strategy.  I was intrigued enough to go over and check it out in person.
