Inventory of homes on the market is up from last year due to these short sale and foreclosure homes that have saturated the market.  In some areas the market is leveling off but overall we have seen the biggest boom and the biggest bust at the same time.

What’s Going on With the Long Grove Market Home Sales? - 07/02/10 01:00 AM
It is time for my monthly update for the Long Grove Area from the Northwest Realtor Association regarding the real estate market in Long Grove. The Realtor board combines the home sales of Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove and Kildeer as these towns share the same Zip Code and are of similar type of homes.
The good news is that sales are up in the Long Grove area through May of 2009. In 2009 there were 101 properties sold through May, and in 2010 we currently have 149 sold homes in and around Long Grove. This is an increase of 47.5% from … (0 comments)
