money: It's Easy To Hate Corporate ... But Why? - 03/15/12 12:59 PM
For years, I worked for Small Businesses.  From the time I was 16 until the time I was 33, I was doing the Small Business Jig.  I thought it was more my style.  I still think it is.
However, something changed and I was faced with a decision and made it.  Now, I work for Corporate.  I would love to sit here and type that means mega-dollars for me, but that's not the case.  Not yet, at least.
What makes the world go round?  What are political elections typically decided by?  What's the root of all that is evil?  What is … (20 comments)

money: Weiner Lies ... imagine that. - 06/06/11 04:40 PM
Now I'm not here to pile on Mr. Anthony Weiner, however when has a Weiner ever lied?  Come on gals, can I get an "Amen!"  If this came as a major surprise, you might NOT know A Weiner.
A Weiner has a mind of its own, often controlling the other head involved.
A Weiner doesn't think, only reacts.  And the other head can't think enough to stop the Weiner.
A Weiner sometimes wins and that is why women have a hard (no pun) time with the Male Species.  Women don't have Weiner, and if they do ... they are on the cusp … (30 comments)

money: Well, it makes Life Interesting .... - 04/23/11 06:25 PM
Tears For Fears kind of put it best.
And my perfect world isn't yours and yours certainly isn't mine.  What's nice about that is that we get to banter back and forth until we either get to Heaven or become a tattoo.  And if I die a bit early, for whomever may be reading, please never let me become that tattoo.  I'd rather be in our idea of Purgatory.
Watching Political Discourse is interesting, at best.  I suppose I believe that everyone involved (no matter their outlook) is wanting the best for Humanity as a whole.  And I suppose I'm pretty … (73 comments)

money: It's A Duplicitous Life - 12/11/10 03:32 PM
For the first time, I watched "It's A Wonderful Life".  Just finished it about a quarter of an hour ago.  Despite it being on television with commercials and all, I sat through the entire way.  That's rare for me and a movie.  Even more rare is that the last forty-five minutes were spent utterly enthralled by the spirit of the film.
While another happy ending lends me to tears and also tends to bore me to them at times, I thought it appropriate with this film.  I was truly touched.  And my chin is wearing the stains of a few ducts as I … (28 comments)

money: I'm calling for a Sitcom... based upon Mortgage Lending! - 07/12/08 01:33 PM
*Warning* - This is a long one...

It's later than I expected, but my desire for this has been long coming.  I title my particular blog, "The Insider's Insights on Mortgages" but I have yet to express to folks the workings behind that often foggy door of Lending.  Shame on me, for that.  I may actually spend some time on this post for once, if I do it right... I think it will be important.

The title of this post is, I admit, a tad misleading.  While I think it could become a hot ratings sell, I don't necessarily foresee … (61 comments)

money: The Psychology of Money... - 05/21/08 02:42 AM
Ripe & Ready, Fast & Heady, he ran for his life ... but life had moved on...

I know a lot of folks are feeling the crunch.  I'm not just talking about the infamous 'Credit Crunch' ... I'm talking a true financial crunch.  I spent $30.00 this morning making sure I had a half a tank of gas.  That's something to say when I drive a beat up Cutlass Sierra.  That's the one thing about cars and me, I'll buy them in cash and drive them until they are a rusted shell of their former self.  That's one thing I … (98 comments)

money: That's The Way You Do It, Money For Nothing? I Don't Think So! - 08/29/07 04:30 AM
"I think I made essentially a mistake in staying in movies.  It's a mistake I can't regret, because it's like saying I shouldn't have stayed married to that woman but I did because I love her.  I would of been more successful if I left movies immediately....Stayed in theatre, gone into politics, written anything.  I have wasted the greater part of my life looking for money and trying to get along, trying to make my work from this terribly expensive paint-box, which is a movie.  And I've spent too much energy on things that have nothing to do with making a movie.  … (82 comments)

money: Meet Mr. Corporate America or "PLEASE DON"T GIVE ME 200 POINTS FOR THIS!" - 01/05/07 12:57 PM

To all my ActiveRain friends and friendly co-workers,   In my ascent to Corporate America and goal as soon to be top producer and golden boy guru in the mortgage industry it is crucial for my level of importance to meet the pretentious expectations of our beloved yuppie peers.  With that being said I will need the following to expediate my pending arrival to the status of the likes of Trump, Greenspan, Dan Pinto, Carlton Sheets, Kenneth Lay, and of course Jerry Falwell.  Note my following needs.   I will need a fiancee, accountant, financial advisor, ex-wife, attorney, mistress, secretary, driver, a board of directors, … (4 comments)
