How many types of blog posts are there?
Which blog posts have you NOT done yet?
1. How to/tutorial posts
These kind of posts are pretty popular and readers usually love them. Pick one specific and fairly small issue or problem that you can solve for your readers. Describe it in written language or even better make a video clip. Maybe you want to use a screencast software such as screen-o-matic.
2. News
Report about latest news in your industry. Maybe you want to add your own opinion or keep it neutral?
3. Standard list post
A post that lists various kinds of solutions to an issue or problem - just like this.
4. Resource post
It's a blog post that collects and displays resource links. I prefer them because I love 'data mining' and not being a 'writer' isn't a big deal. These posts are great to get folks to your blog website but they are usually not very 'sticky' as they lead readers away from your post . Nevertheless, they will bookmark your site and keep coming back as a reference.
5. Profile Post
Introducing another person or another blog/website. Introduce a website that could be useful for your readers. This could also be a great way to get a backlink from the website you introduced to you. Links to your blog are important!!
6. FAQ Posts
These could be fairly easy - explain FAQ's in particular transaction.
7. SAQ Posts
Who's heard about THAT? Well, those are QUESTIONS that SHOULD be ASKED. This is where you can shine with your expertise! Tell people what they DON'T know yet.
8. Reviews
Review services, local shops, local places, products that could be useful for your readers.
9. Checklists
People love checklists. Checklists are a quick way to get things done and keep track of it. Come up with your own checklists or even cheat sheets to help your customers.
10. Start a survey or a poll
Raise a point, talk about an issue then ask your readers to voice their opinion via poll. Great way to be interactive and involve your readers.
11. Give something!
Have you ever had a give away? Make it easy to participate! i.e. have readers follow you on Twitter or like you on FB -
12. Use various media
Have you ever thought of posting an MP3 file (podcast) ? You might have already posted a video?Have you considered a slideshow (upload them to slide share) and post from there?
13. Recycle past posts
Look through your past posts and collect similar posts into a new posts. This will encourage your readers to 'explore' your blog posts to see whatelse you've got.

Ah yes ! ... every conversation I had today incorporated discussion on "where they were for the Superbowl" yesterday !
The beauty of this united get-together, is that you dont have to be a fan of either of the teams in the big game !
... heck, you dont even have to be a fan of football !!!!
The truth is, this is one of the few parties during the year, that it's just great to be '"part of the vibe" !!!!!
I went to a great Superbowl Party with 90% NY Giant fans, but the 10% of us who were fans of other teams, were still big fans of the "occasion" !
... and again, this is really the only party of the year that brings this kind of vibe !
The Oscars ? - nahh
July 4th ? - Fun, but not the same energy !
Even the World Series ! - NO other party gathering, is like the gathering for a Superbowl !
And with everyone so pumped up, energized and "happy to see everyone", the conversation inevitably gets onto "how are things going with your job?"
... well I'm glad you asked !
Because that's all I need to let people know that things in my job are fantastic ! I have more leads, more experience, and more closings, than I have ever had before ... and what's that you say? ... you were thinking about getting out of the rent-race and buying a home instead? ... well your timing is great ... call me during the week and I'll give you all the updates of the market !
The point is, without even trying, you will get the chance to talk about your business - sure you dont want to be a sleazy, Crazy Eddie guy at the party, but after I received 2 emails today from people at the party telling me "It was great to see you, and when do you have time to go over our home needs?" ... I know there's opportunity everywhere !
... now where's that Superbowl Pool ? Did I win ????

Medieval Times - Lyndhurst NJ
From the moment you enter the "castle", you get a glimpse into times past, where the version of physical entertainment wasn't Ultimate Fighting, but instead Jousting, and Swordfights with metal armor and shields ! ... and some pretty fierce-looking weapons !
At Medieval Times, there are 6 different Knights that compete in the Tournament - each representing a different color !
... you are assigned a seat (and a crown) bearing the color of 'your Knight for the Night' !
In a recent visit, my family were assigned to the YELLOW KNIGHT's Section !
While watching the tournament and battles, you are served by your own waitress wench!, who brings a feast of chicken legs, garlic bread, baked potatoes and juicy ribs !
... and your delicious apple fritter !
Fun and entertainment ensues, as you Cheer Mightily for your Knight throughout the events !
Yep, this is a high energy evening, and fun for the family !
Especially if your Yellow Knight wins the tournament ;o)

Ah yes, the proverbial "HIATUS" has muscled me out from my Blogging platform on AR for the past few months, and I dont like it one bit !
 Well, actually I do like part of it - the reason for my Hiatus ...
... and that reason is that I completed BY FAR my best year in Real Estate ever (30 transactions for the year), culminating in a booming 3-4 closings per month calendar for the last few months of the year - taxing my time management, and keeping me chasing my TO-DO LIST every single night, and forcing me to select various elements of my routine to shelve until further notice !
Well further is now noticed !
... and I am pledging to get back on track with my blogging, commenting, and British Accent Classes for Greg Nino.
The BEAUTY of this fantastic AR community we call our Blog Home, is that you CAN take time off, stay afloat, and ActiveRain is like riding a bike - you can get back on anytime, be welcomed back with that big smile from Kerrie Greenhalgh, and the extended hand from Bob Stewart , and you can pick up right where you left off !
... and from that first Public Blog you write when you return to the ring, you will be imersed once again in that tasty Google Juice, and exposure to the unbridled arena of potential readers - and ultimately, potential clients.
Man I missed this place !

Franklin Lakes Homes For Sale Summary | August 2011 Market Report

Home sales in Franklin Lakes were flat in August. Not by much, but August saw 12 homes sold.
The inventory stayed basically the same, with 175 homes on the market.
The good news, however, is that there are currently 16 homes UNDER CONTRACT and pending sales ! Which should make for increased monthly sales to end the summer !
Franklin Lakes offers a terrific opportunity to live in a wonderful upscale Bergen County suburb, with housing ranging from condominiums to large estates. The sweeping private neighborhoods make living enjoyable, while still having the accessibility to New York City via many major highways or public transportation with buses or nearby trains. With many parks, tennis courts and lakes, and even a town Nature Preserve, Franklin Lakes is one of the most desirable towns in the County - and is home to many famous residents !

Emerson offers a great opportunity to live in Bergen County in a town with great schools, family neighborhoods, and great access to New York City via many major highways or public transportation with buses or nearby trains.
Like most towns in bergen, Dumonts year over year numbers for August are down slightly, but the median Sold prices have actually INCREASED ! Which is not common, and tends to make you believe that Emerson must be offering something as a town to draw more people to pay a higher price than they were paying last year !
