I'm sure this must have been happening for years, but with a second son on-the-way I was concerned with how the already-challenging hours spent each time we visit the grocery store with our current son, was going to get worse ?!?!
(seriously, that's the longest sentence I have ever written :o(
The usual grocery visit often lasts 3 to 4 hours, and includes numerous spontaneous purchases to keep 'this guy' happy !

So the daunting thoughts of carting TWO of these cheeky monkeys around later in 2009 had my wife and I pretty concerned.

... it was a snowy Saturday morning here in Bergen County New Jersey, and all my buyers canceled showings today ... except one.
I probably could have put him off so I could have stayed in bed, but he's a new client, and I felt I should accommodate his schedule (plus maybe he's that 'buy it first time out' type of buyer !!! yeah right :o)
So off I went for a 9:30am appointment.
As we get to the first showing, I get a text from the listing agent "Sorry about the short notice, tenant decided not to go out because of … (4 comments)

You Decide. Am I just a dedicated nice Realtor ? or a time-wasting sucker !
Here's the scenario.
I was recently given a lead from a past client. The lead needed to transfer up from Florida with his family, to my territory (Bergen, NJ) for a job transfer.
After collecting their criteria, I set about finding them some home matches.     
I found 15 matches, emailed them over, and let them know that I would gladly     
be 'their eyes' up here, and that I would go preview any of the homes they were interested in.

I received a comment this morning that made me think about something ...
Jim Crawford posted a response to my blog Did I miss the memo that Realtor's could take December OFF ??? stating that "in the late 1980's and 1990's many of these agents will leave the business with their signs left in the ground!"
It made me think - who gets to keep those signs ??!?!?!??!

I had a recent situation where I was called in for a listing and when I got to the house, there was already a Lockbox on the front door ?

   ... I know Thanksgiving to Superbowl is typically quieter than many other times in the year for Real Estate activity, but why did the last 7 calls I made to other Realtors go straight to their voicemail ?
... and whats worse than that, is that 4 of those Realtors havent even called me back yet 2 days later !!!!
I guess they did so well this year that they were lighting their fireplaces with $100 dollar bills, and decided it was a higher priority to re-arrange their closets or something rather than to pick up the phone from another … (23 comments)
