Would You Do This?

This job was a quick Saturday morning staging for a Staurday @ 1:00 open house and I had to use what I had with me to get the job done. Of course there are many things that I would change, but time was a huge factor. My question up for critique is if the wicker baskets as art on the living room wall is tacky. They added alot of texture to boring white walls, but I'm wondering what others think about the result. Would you hang these on the wall or should they stick to table top accents as they are originally intended? Thanks

Real or Fake plants?

I am a firm believer that plants and flowers give every room that final touch. They make a smooth transition from the outdoors to the inside and add to a soft, peaceful atmosphere.

With that said, I am wondering what everyone feels about fake versus real plants. I have personally only used fake, silk plants and flowers for practical reasons. Any thoughts?
