Primary Residence Tax Rate - Greenville County, SC - 06/22/08 03:03 PM
If you live in South Carolina and haven't applied for your 4%  Tax Rate there is still time!  When you purchase a home in South Carolina automatically taxes you at 6%.  If the home is your primary residence you can apply for this rate at your local tax assessors office.  You only have to do this once.  2% might not sound like much, but it will cut your taxes about 50%!
